So I just mounted up screamers motor into my yellow delta force sniper in my album... had a 2215 nue in it....
Anyhow I mounted it as it fit on the existing mount that is very strong.... I can lift the boat by the motor itself..... feels secure.. Only thing is I am only using two screws to hold the motor to the mount.... has anyone else used a mount with only two mounting screws on a screamer? just wanna make sure it doesnt' snap the two screws....
Thanks for the info Gents! both of you should know much better then I.... The mount itself has just four screws and epoxy but is very strong... and then the motor has just the two screws... I will give it a go at that... gonna start on 10s.... with a turnigy monster upfitted with watercooling.... I am gonna put the batts outside the stringers and try and find a safe place for the esc too... just in case she does come loose.... at least for the first hard run in:) Thanks again!
I am gonna start with a x455 on the 10s.... sound like a good start? not expecting blazing speed just wanna have a smoke free maiden.....
With the mystery of how it a 8000 watt motor that wont turn a prop bigger than a 460 but a cheap 44 dollar kb will. It something wrong with the whole setup or the motor was designed wrong from the start. Or it needs a controller designed specifically for it or one that woks properly with it. if that motor is anything like its supposed to be it should turn a much larger prop. I think those cc esc's are not all they are cracked up to be or the motor is a 150 dollar piece of doo doo.As we speak the motor is still a mystery that everyone has just about given up on.No one that owns one is even talking about it anymore. And i hate to say it but so far it has shown me nothing to compete with an am mathe or a good gas engine that will turn a 460 without even thinking about it. The scorpions seem a much better and safer investment for 30 more dollars not to mention the extra weight of the water cooler that it doesnt need coz it cant turn a prop big enough to get hot. Just another mystery .You are crazy jason to let that 2215 go. whoever you did that with won big time on that deal. Youll see soon good luck though I hope you have the success you are looking for.The water cooler is trick though.

I wish I would have found this thread earlier in my build, i have a little screamer set up with a swordfish240 and man what a nightmare setting it up i called little screamers and talked to some guy over there that told me he would e mail me the settings for the esc(he never email me ) cause i was having from what i see a pwm setting set wrong i have currently run the boat ,a 60 inch expresscraft mti cat , 10s1p 2x 5800 30c with a 70mmx 108mm prop with some promising results no problems planning or running other than serious speed you could see this run on youtube expresscraft mti speedracer i dont understand the trouble alot of pepole are having with this set up ,, i am still tuning the setup as when i get up to speed 60+ it tends to flip back cg and trim angle adjustments ,, i am currently building a twin set up in a 70 inch apache and this same set up any suggestions
