This is Scott's new Cheetah twin along with a Cheetah single he built for Josh? The way our group is growing it's getting hard hard for me to keep track any more.
Somewhere either before or after this one we did have a 4 boat P mono heat but it didn't get taped. I had a last place start and first place finsh, so just had to mention itComment

The Futaba receiver finally quit in my Falcon Cat today. It would still operate the rudder servo but the esc would not arm. I had a spare Tactic rx in my box so bound it to one of my Tactic radios and let the Falcon show it's still "King of the pond" in rough choppy water.
I kind of wonder if the rx had been messing with the esc for a while now. I had propped down to a X457/3 and it looked faster than the 460/3 did. I didn't have the GPS in the boat though so we'll never know.Comment

Wind was definitely worse today at Ackerman than it was at Watt Fest yesterday. It was all I could do to hold position with the quad today and a couple of times thought I had lost it.
If you listen around the 1:15 mark you can hear the motors spinning up as I was pitching forward and applying more throttle into it to keep it from blowing down to the roofing company's parking lot.
In the meanwhile I did at least get a little boat footage. Got a nice close up of the park bench I almost put it into trying to get back on the ground too.
This is the last vid from today.Comment

Using my 41" Promise Hobby Falcon cat to test one of the Toro Beast motors. It's a 910 KV Y wind so ran it on 8s 2p with a X460 2 blade prop that has been de-tongued and back cut.
Seems to have worked out pretty well.
