That mono flip came out better than I thought. Right when I was zooming out to get a nice wide angle of the turn she went over....
Seemed like the demons were really after me today. Between that flip, my little hydro submarining then popping back up at the right time to get cut in half by Chris (an exageration but.... pretty accurate too) then me spinning the MM out right in front of you. I was not having a good day. Oh... and there was the launch of my SC off the back of "new guy" Bill's H&M cat in our 1st round of Q. Luckily for me that OSM wasn't captured by the camera.
Maybe I can drive on smooth water after all. Must have just been the Ackerman demons messing with me today. Here’s a little Q offshore with “new guy” Bill vs old man Bill. I really like the way my Sprintcat handles.
bill i am no expert but seems u have run your 47 in rough water so much u will have to retrim.....id put a stright edge to the trim tabs and make sure there flat...and looked as if the turn fins were out of the water any way they go down further?
Nobody picked up the camera and shot them. I was actually holding a 1st place lead in them (Hugh Ray & me) until I tried to lap Hugh and hit his wake wrong.
We had another really calm day at Ackerman today. This makes two run days in a row. Makes it really hard to race since most of us don’t know how to drive in water that flat.
Here’s Hugh and I in a little OPC (tunnel) race. Some “rubbing is racing” action around the 1:15 mark. Happily no noticeable damage for either of us.
Here’s a fully loaded LSO heat. Not a very good percentage of finishers though. I’d call it as Scott’s win through the viewfinder with Larry 2nd. Y'all can correct me if I'm wrong.
