Great job on the vids Bill. You have nailed the instant replay feature. Good to hear all your voices again. Three months down, three to go. TTYL BGComment

Think I found the issue with the video quality.
Here's a insert from page 47 of the manual
On bright days or when recording very bright scenes, despite the iris being at its smallest aperture, blurring of the image may occur. If this happens, using the ND filter should remove this problem.Turn the ND filter on by pressing the ND FILTER ON/OFF button.•ND is shown continuously in the display while the ND filter is turned on.– ND ON flashes in the display to advise you to switch the ND filter on. (However it does notappear in the Manual mode or during exposure lock.)– ND ON with the “ON” flashing advises you to fit an external ND filter* or that the lightconditions are still too bright, despite having switched the ND filter on.– ND OFF with the “OFF” flashing warns you that the ND filter is no longer suitable for the currentconditions. If this warning appears, turn the ND filter off by pressing the ND FILTER ON/OFFbutton again.* When you don’t have an external ND filter, make the shutter speed faster in Tv mode or open theaperture in Av mode.Notes:•You cannot turn the ND filter on/off during exposure lock or while the PHOTO button is pressedhalfway down.•The camcorder retains your selection if you turn the standby lever to LOCK. However, it resets tothe OFF setting if you slide the POWER switch to OFF.
End paste
Best I recall it was flashing ND ON the whole time I was shooting with it. I thought it was telling me it was on but what it was really saying was to turn it on.

I though you had turned something on.
And yeah, that last LSO vid was MUCH clearer than the others.Comment

Bad thing is I don't know what I did different on that one. Only thing I can think of is maybe the cloud cover blocked more of the sunlight at the time.Comment

I was driving in that round too Hugh. Chris told me at the lake that he thought he was shooting, but when he hit the button to stop recording is when the little red light in the viewfinder turned on. There's a real short clip of my SC about the time it was coming to a stop at the steps and that was it.Comment

Shot some more video today to do some camera testing. I followed Jeremy down to the track where they run the offroad cars and shot 6 rounds. Found Rob (from our club) was there to race too.
Since it was cars instead of boats not going put them here. I just linked them up our website. They will be at the bottom of this page. http://www.wfmbc.com/Vids/06-12.html (Came out much better with the ND filter turned on.)Comment

08-12-12 It's SUMMER TIME
Dang it'swhen there's no breeze. Time (actually past time) to start propping down here too. Everything I threw in today came back in a LOT warmer than usual.
1st run today is Hugh's PS 295 testing an added ride pad on the starboard sponson.
