Sorry Ray. I didn't mean anything about how your cut looked. (just now realised how my post looked) I was mostly letting you know about the rotory saw bit. It doesn't wear out like the cutoff wheels do and there's less danger of it exploding on you if it gets in a bind.
I've been using the rotary cutter a lot since getting it. Makes pretty quick work even for cutting into 1/4" wooden rails.

      Bill, no offense taken.

Brian, in order to get the weight distribution correct, the TS3 needs a full length radio box. I'm cheatin and copying Brian Buass's setup.

Finally got a shipping notce this morning on the 2028 I ordered a couple of weeks ago. (was starting to sweat that one after it coming up as no longer available).
Any thoughts yet on who's coming for this Sunday and what classes we're going to run?
1/8th, STD and LSH. (Amazing how that STD nomenclature has caught on).

So far all I've prepped is LSH spec tunnel & s/t. May sit out 1/8 scale this month and try to get some good video of Ray's Proboat instead. This heat has really been getting to me lately too and is already creeping back up as we get closer to the weekend. One of these days I'm going to have to try 4s in Goldfinger and get in on the STD's. That should make it about "standard" if it was running gas. :D

LSH, LSO, STD anybody going to run P MONO ? That would be neat Bill to see you build a SMALL twin drive... I should have my motor soon for my 1/8. i'm gunna try a higher kv setup, running only 2 6s packs to cut down on weight. 5692 1350kv should run about 32,000rpm unloaded, and about 16lb running weight.

Haven't prepped the P yet. Was waiting to see if anybody else was going to have one to run. It must be the heat but I haven't been really ambitious about doing anything for the past couple of weeks.

I've tried the rotary bits but they seem to want to go where THEY want to go, not where I want it to go! ;-)

Gotta have it the item being cut secured and use two hands on the dremel. With the little fine bit (cutting straight lines in glass) I've found it works really well to tape a metal straight edge to the surface and use it as a guide.

Both of these cutouts were made using the dremel and small rotary bit.
