I think Mike talked to Ken tonight and it's gonna be the way the waveblasters run it as I understand it. Could be wrong.

I wrote Ken on the mill lap question. Here is his resopnse:
Ray,
We will discuss it again, but for now we have been working on a half -lap mill.
All boats must be in the infield left of the fish feeder proir to the mill.
Boats that don't start would then be out of the race lines.
Your thoughts.
Ken
For those that haven't been there the "fish feeder" is in the middle of the infield.
I made a pic to assist

So you are sitting in the infield prior to the start? Good idea! I like that setup.

That makes sense. Thanks for the diagram Ray. Basically its an extended version of what we already do, rather than sitting off turn 3.... I like it!Comment

Somebody asked for this again:
For the Feb Ack, why dont we do a emulate a race situation for those that are interested in racing. The truth is, those of us who like to race have been laying back so the new members can get experience running on a course, tuning their boats and running boats that dont necessarily have a class. That being said, the new members have brought a lot of enthusiasm and support for what the original members were trying to develope. And we are glad to have them. Accordingly, for those that would like a race situation, I propose the following schedule:
9:00 - 10:00: Seminar: Hugh to lead a discussion regarding etiquette, strategy, prep, etc..
10:15, on the clock for P mono
10:45, on the clock for any twins on 4S ( I read the post )
11:15, on the clock for LSH
11:45, on the clock for OPC
12:15, on the clock for Q offshore
12:45, on the clock for LSO
1:15, on the clock for 'run what yu brung' all out BTW..
I will volunteer to ( whatever its worth) stand with a racer for each class.
I'll be bringing:
lso
hmo
ppo
lmao, and maybe
pb&jBoats don't win races, drivers do.Comment

We really need to change our running schedule. It's looking like it's going to be another stiff breeze day Sunday.About the only saving grace will be that it's supposed to be coming from the south. Close to shore should be smooth but if one stops on the outside it could be a repeat of the the day Hugh drove to the far side of the lake to retrieve his.

You have to learn to drive under all conditions. What if it's windy the day of a race you've signed up for? I know, I know, the wind is a PITA but....

Actually we need to ADD some new buoys for a shorter course. I really don't want to disturb our 1/6 mile layout and leaving the existing markers where they are will make it a lot easier for setting the extra ones. They make a handy alignment and measuring point.Comment

Forgot... I'm in for P & Q maybe LSH. I busted the nose of my LSO Sunday while taking the spearfishing title away from Chris.
Hadn't planed to bring any of the big ones this week. (Probably a good thing since 2 out of the 3 are "broken" right now) Sure does look like it would be a better day for them though.Comment
