Actually it's 6 laps later (on our current layout). 7 if you count the mill lap. If we shorten it to 1/8 mile it will be 8 laps plus the mill.Comment

Basicaly the mill lap works like this. Your boat goes in the water around 30 sec. But no later then 10 or 15 to the start of the heat. Once the boat is in the water you have to keep it moving. So you just go half throtle or so around the course and try to time the start so when you hit the line the clock is at zero and your wide open going across the start finish line

i know that everytime we have run, you don't have to stay on plane until you are heading toward turn 3 and are past the start bouy. I spoke with Terry Cowger today and he said the same. I will try to get in touch with Ken and verify what we will be doing.
I will be going on the 13 for sure. I will get up early sunday morning and drive over.Comment

We do NOT run a mill lap! Sit just short of turn 3 and make your start when you are ready. Once on plane you must remain on plane.
1/8 mile is 8 laps plus the 1/3 lap at the start.Mini Cat Racing USA

And yes, thats how 'WE" do it, but shouldnt we be doing it as the NAMBA events we may attend would do it? At least on our select "race days"Comment

Why do you have to keep it moving once in the water? It hasn't been done this way at the Waveblasters before. Mike just posted above that you can sit just to the left of the fish feeder until you decide you want to go. Once you do decide to go, you have to keep moving.

Guys i know what the wave blasters have done in the past. siting in the back and waiting. but for the nats and i could be wrong. i might be up to the CD. but i think you have to go by namba rules. and they run a mill. Jim it really is that bad on the batteries also it gives more time to get on plane and pick a lane.
