This is the setup that I have been running a dynamte1750 4 pole out of a impulse a dasboata2214 prop trim tabs above bottom of boat turn fins rotated back drive all the way up 2 heavy duty 5000 70 to 100 c battery as far forward as possible and a 180 amp speed control it will run low 70s without getting hot I will run battery Down to 3.4 volts per cell.I have have been running this setup for a year. The boat was a little faster with the stock motor but I burnt 2 up. Sand the bottom of boat with 400 sand paper.I also use some stuff on the bottom that we use on our real nitro drag boat it gives us about 3 to 4 mph

I'll be upgrading the trim tabs and maybe getting a dual pickup rudder as well, just having trouble getting the boat up on plane. From a stop I can give it full throttle and it'll take 2-3 seconds to get up on plane.
I'm surprised no one else commented on this. Very bad to give it full throttle when getting on plane. Puts a lot of stress on things especially when it suddenly grabs.

2214? As in 2.2" (55.8mm)? Seems quite big for that hull, no?

I'm the same way myself. Have you tried a 1915 or 2015? Maybe the reason that large prop is working for is because you have the strut raised a good bit. I recently figured out that if you run a higher quality and more efficient motor that you can get away with a little more than you can with those dynamite motors.

I have the strut all the way up.I have tried both of those props.I have the 2015 on my zelos 36 with the 1750 4 pole impulse motors.I have even reversed the rotation of the motor just to see what happens

What do you think would be a great upgrade motor for this boat Travis?

                    I think a tp4060 1720kv would be a really good choice.

Greetings from Italy, a new Voracity passionate owner

                        Good morning to all, guys,

I'm very happy to have bought Voracity, my first boat,

I use airplanes normally but too fascinating the powerboat ..

my best result top speed, is 45.98 mph with everything Stock,

but my prop slightly damaged on the tips after losing a rudder screw, I straightened by hand,

                        the batteries I use are the Quantum Series Sls, configuration 6s (2x3) 5000mah -65 / 130C a slightly heavy 492gr ..

I would like to figure out how to configure the tabs' setting (if needed), and buy a new propeller, perhaps an Octura x645 or an Abc 1914.

What advice do you have to give me?

Thank you and have fun at all.

                        Marco from Italy

When my Voracity was stock, I ran the trim tabs even or just slightly down depending on the wind. I ran an Octura x452 sharpen and balanced. I kept the run times around 3 to 3 1/2 minutes. Make sure you keep some distance between the dog and strut on the cable.[4 to 6mm] Have fun!

I have another question for you..my stock esc work well but some friends ask to me.if this is unlocked for a full functionality and may a better speed. .Is it true or not? Need to buy some special program card?

Yes, there is a program card, but for the most part, the ESC is setup properly from the factory and there isn't any locked potential to be had with the stock motor by changing settings. With that said, I prefer to have an actual program card on hand for each type of ESC I use so that if I do what to change something, I can do so much easier than using the transmitter method.

Oh, and I would recommend replacing that prop. I've used the x452 previously, but it caused a lot of torque roll. I like the ABC 1915 or 1815 17* props on the stock electronics with 6S power.
