I have also run the struts up 1mm & 2mm and down 1mm & 2mm just to see what happens. Honestly, not much difference there either.
Sad thing with all this is, I can tell the boat has a whole lot left in her but if I use it she goes airborne and it's 50/50 how she'll land.Last edited by mikiek; 05-29-2017, 10:15 PM.May your batteries never fail you...

Can I get in on the fun? Did my best run Saturday 62mph. Didn't have a camera but fluid was a witness. All stock parts except a pair of OSE CNC 45mm. Ran that one with 4 3S packs. Struts up about 1mm.Last edited by mikiek; 06-05-2017, 11:19 PM.May your batteries never fail you...

mikiek added to the list! Please state what batteries you have so I can update. Also I added a 6th change to this list, Photo of GPS or Data Log is required. Since it's your first time we can overlook that.Proboat Voracity-E 36" , Proboat Zelos 36 Twin , Proboat Miss Geico 29" , Traxxas Spartan, Fightercat Daytona, ZondaComment

I got to wondering something this evening. I have a decent place to run my boat, but I am always looking for a new spot. Lately I have seen a couple of retaining ponds that were possibilities. One of them is extremely long. That got me thinking how cool it would be to put a boat in and just hammer down for 5-10 seconds. I imagine you could build up some pretty substantial speed.
Compare that to spots where a lot of us run where we have to do some sort of loop because there just isn't that much water. Somewhat similar to drag racing vs NASCAR. When I did my best time a few weeks back I was running a loop. Which means I can't just run flat out for as long as I like. Just as I'm building a good head of speed I have to slow down to make the turn.
So I am curious how many of the records here were made on a long straightaway vs on a circuit?May your batteries never fail you...

You will also run outta range before you reach the speeds you may be thinking. Go on google maps and measure the distance of your ponds. I did my 87 in a pond of approximately 830ft with little room to spare.Proboat Voracity-E 36" , Proboat Zelos 36 Twin , Proboat Miss Geico 29" , Traxxas Spartan, Fightercat Daytona, ZondaComment

Keagan,
Update me when you get the chance. Ran this morning. Water had some chop, breeze was blowing a bit. Since the last run, I detounged the x447's, did a carbon fiber inlay in the hull, added more floatation, moved the struts up to 4.5mm. Seemed to run good. Packs were as far back as possible.Attached FilesComment
