I would start with a M445 and go from there, if temps are gd and ur not doing long run times try the M545, set ur strut so the bottom is flush with the bottom of sponsons, but b4 you do anything I suggest you blue print the hull this is going to make the biggest improvment to this hull, I know had big wahwah until I blue printed the hull.
Your MG that started off as a hull

Try sending him a email and ask for his opinion about your mg. give him the specs and set-up. motor, batteries, esc etc. So, he can recommend a appropriate prop for you. He's also a ose member so You also send him a PM.My Aquacraft SV27's old Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoTm4Btz41Q

Before a boat project gets finished, I always think of a paint theme and it could be a product's logo or no logo but a bit more complex in the painting design. My problem thou is painting is my waterloo.
I do find that choosing a logo, going to google and clicking on images gives me ideas if not inspiration. Sometimes the concept of "less is more" or "KISS" method works just as well.
I even had my daughter teach me basic photoshop so I could try out various colors, themes and paint patterns on a pic of the boat to see if my idea looks good or not.Comment

Srislash do you make those, thats what it sounds like..
I hear ya Mac ive done that many times but this one i realy didnt even think of what i was going to put on it, just getting it repainted so it didnt look like your average genesis,, think tonight on my way home im going to stop at the craft store again and see what other templates they have,, thats how i did the genesis on thew hood, but decals on the sides would have been quicker and easyer..Comment

My 3rd gas boat is purely a fun boat and the hull design of the vintage Prather Fun Cruiser may very well be a good candidate for that application.
Being a vintage design, my paint theme design consideration was to make it look like a modern looking boat so I chose the Traxxas Spartan paint scheme. I didnt want to get it exact as I dont wanna deal with the blacking airbrush effect in the original Spartan as I dont have an airbrush anyway.
I did get the fonts of the "Spartan" and played around with it in photoshop, saved the file in a thumb drive and took it to our vinyl custom decal maker.
Prather may be an old name when it comes to boats, but we placed a twist on it to make it look a bit modern.
BTW - im thinking of adding drivers!Comment
-
That is super cool bro,,yeah it needs some drivers thow.. The Prather looks alsume and new style not the old school good job man. Are you going to keep it gas or going FE??Comment
-
Yeah, Im thinking of those shockwave drivers. Yes, I'll keep it gas :)
Phil's Hobby Shop sells each shockwave 55" drivers for $12 each. A 26" Shockwave canopy with 2 drivers in it sells for $16. The drivers for both boats looks the same - but I dunno if they're the same size. However, it seems impractical for PB to make 2 molds of different size drivers that are identical. The length of the SW55" driver is 4.5" - does anyone know of somebody owning a 26" shockwave to measure length of driver?Comment
