Is that 37"Cat & hatch done yet ??? And what are you going to do with that 42" ?lol

    Maybe we could do something.
My worker said he'll spend the whole day today sanding and strengthening the 42" Osprey, by tom we should resume to the 37" Cat - yey!
The 42" will be our test bed to experiment on large scale motors, the ultimate power hungry fun boat and be a nuisance to all our fellow boaters who run gas boats! hahahahahahaha!

The 42" CAT in the for sale thread is a NO GO! The one he's selling is not a 42" Cat! It's the smaller version 26"-27".

If that is for what im thinking about - dont worry. Lets exhaust the local resource first as we have more luck with those kinds here than abroad. Besides, I bet the shipping cost will be horrendous anyway! Moreover, we have our friends checking your options since yesterday. See? now you know why its good to be present on the pond every Sunday!
For now, lets concentrate a bit on the electric side of our hobby 'coz I foresee that once the Cat resumes work tom it will go straight to be molded! As you know, we have a pending big tank project for a customer thats very eager to market, so we need to finish this 37" Cat asap as this was just a sneak-in project.

Well, I guess you're right! But, I haven't got any feedback from the pond boys yet! So, Cat or V? hehehe!

I really dont see any probs if you decide on a V - everybody is running a V and in fact we already have the resources for that if you really want one asap. Check the options for the Cat first, if none - then thats the time we focus on that V.

Done with the bearing replacement on the KB45 and I'll send you the mount and servo tom so you can start with your new project! It reminds me, I also need to get a new high torque servo for my new toy. Hehehe!

Great run Shawn! I visited your build thread - I thought it was 45" long like in your title as I was hoping to get tips for my 42" Osprey.
So it seems a 1717 will perform great on the 37" Cat - but im hoping to emulate that with a china motor and 6s. Maybe it may work too for my 42" - hopefully, maybe.

Prying the resin off from the whole Osprey boat was not so much of a challenge, unfortunately sanding the resin residue left by the resin itself was tedious and took 2 days away from my worker - bummer!
Well, it now looks 'white' and brand new. My plan is to return it first to stock before doing any mods.
