No reason why not Mac,TP is good,HK has the same looking motor but Ben says they aren't.They went to the factory and had them cut corners. I wonder if a 5692 would be too big.Are those osprey hulls heavy? If so the extra torque couldn't hurt.http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...or_1700kv.html

Why are you guys posting how many boats you have? I will certainly not do that .................... my wife might just stumble to this thread!! hahahahaha!
There's an Osprey thread were I posted a query, but no response yet. Anyway, I met the local guy selling the Osprey early this afternoon and finally took the 42" Osprey home.
The hardware looks great & immaculate but was kinda bummed to find out that the seller brushed the whole boat with resin!
Apparently he posted in a forum and that was suggested to him. Since early evening, I've been prying the resin off - started under the hull and was about to start on the top but got lazy. If I could get them all off, I'll have the whole boat sanded and maybe painted in white.
The Osprey also came with a 3574 red motor probably a Keda but I dont really know the kv. Aside from that mistake, the rudder servo is a Futaba 3003 - a servo that I wouldnt even use in a 24" boat rudder much less a 42" boat. So Osprey hull, hardware, 3674 motor and a servo - all for $65! Really not bad eh?
Here's some pics next to my 29" red painted speedmaster hull and also with the 24" F1 Tunnel.Comment

On 6s with a 45-48mm prop perhaps? Hoping that the T180 still could be used.Comment

What kind of speeds are you looking for with that 41" boat ?
I was thing about the T600 1400kv outrunner or 1100kv or may be the 880kv,
Not sure what you want out of that boat.
Is it for fun running ?Comment

Its just for fun mostly, but I wouldnt mind running with the gas guys if their FEs are at bay due to choppy water. Of course I still dont know how well the Osprey handles chop, so wanted a bit of performance as well.Comment

I love outrunners and those you posted looks awesome!
I have 3 outrunner motors - but they're just 36mm size having 1600kv. I have run them in 4s, probably better in 5s - but somehow I kinda like the smoothness of outrunners. I maiden the F1 tunnel with a outrunner and it certainly performed well.Comment

I guess I need to take my Shockwave to the big lake when their is some good chop and see how it likes it,
Some one else on hear is modding one to,
And just told me that they were cutting out the inner rails, For lower cell placement.
I think I may need some more ballast for mine with chop like that.Comment
