Those look just like the TP motors in the Shocker, just bigger.
I don't know if you even need that big of a motor. On Fightercat's forum, they're trying to get me to put my spare 1717 into the 41" hull that is coming. The 1717 is 45/82.
You gotta have room in the canopy for that motor. And also, tiqueman had handling issues with a single big motor like that in a Shocker hull.Too much weight too high I guess.

I guess this will work on the 37" Cat Mardon on 6S. at $51.46 each it's worth the risk! Hehehe!

Here's what happened in Vancouver yesterday.A group went up the hill and a couple of us went down to the water

I'll tell ya the water was cold we had to rescue both Tim's boats by handpaddling a 12ft aluminum to get them.
Figured it's been quiet in here lately.

Nice video shawn! With that weather, heat on your electronics would not be such a big problem. Unlike here in the Philippines, its either hot or raining! Hehehe!

Sorry about that Jerry but it was Tim's 10 year old kid on the camera and I had to do something with it.I haven't figured all this editing stuff out yet. It's gonna be hit and miss for a bit.

                  Bad news ................ Good news

                  Just a small update:

Not having gone boating last week due to rains and knowing that we wont be going next week due to my mother-in-law's bday, I forced myself to go boating last Sunday even if I was under the weather. It was also my first boating for this year, so since I have all my batts charged up and really wanted to see how my new winmax batts perform, I shrugged my colds and off we went to the pond.

First to play was my son's 20" angry birds boat - I modified it with a 36 size outrunner and powered by a 4s batt from a previous 2445 inrunner with 3s. This boat flew! The pond had about 2-3" of chop and the boat jumped with gusto. It was so stable that it was even hard to capsize! We really had a blast with this boat!

Next up is my MG - will be finding out how it will perform using 2 x 2s 5200mah WinMax batts in series connection as compared to my previous 2 x 4s 5000mah Turnigy in parallel connection! I dont have a gps but just noticed it was a hair faster with 2s, than the 4s - must be due to weight. However, my run time was lessened considerably. My batts dropped power only after 3.5 - 4 minutes. Maybe because they were new and havent reached its full potential yet? Dunno really, but will observe more in future runs.
A few seconds after I run my MG - a fellow boater followed suit with his Surge Crusher Cat and we basically played like we were both racing ........... or maybe taunting each other hahahahaha! We were both enjoying our runs when the inevitable happened and we bumped!
We still proceeded till we both had dropped batt power - which was about the same time. I really never noticed the scratch on my MG till after a few minutes later .............arrrgh! The pic below shows the damage.

I had fun with my other boats that day, till the 2nd run of my mini deep vee - having a fresh battery, I had it on full throttle and decided to make a large circle run - until 3/4 of the way, it suddenly vanished downwards. It was a self-righting hull thus we were all wondering what could've happened. My boating friends said that that part of the pond is notorious for sinking boats and was the deepest part of the pond!
Some of them lost boats from that area completely ............. while some were a bit lucky with locals finding their boats after a few days. Im hoping my mini deep vee would be found, but im not holding my breath. The pond gods must really like my mini!

Well, lets not dwell on bad news ............ so lets see what other stuff happened since a few days ago.

The 37" Cat is progressing slowly. I was about to post some pics yesterday but thought i'd rest my colds ....... or my wife will force me to rest! hahahahaha!
Anyway, just a few pics below showing the cat's progress and Shawn's new turbine canopy which I placed on top of the custom cat. Yeah, it looks small for the 37" hull - but thought it might get Shawn excited to see his upcoming MG turbine canopy!
We will ship it this coming Friday, Shawn!

Last Friday, I visited my nearby boating friend and kinda "borrowed" his fiberglass copy of a Dumas Hot Shot Sprint. He has 3-4 of these hulls, so I said if I could borrow (hehehehehe!) his least favorite hulls among all so I could try my REK outboard on.
I will be modifying this hull for FE use than nitro, so will be thinking of a nice paint scheme for a F1 Tunnel boat - you guys got any ideas?
................ no, not another Geico racing theme! hahahahahaha!

Geez remind me not to "lend" you a hull, that looks like a cutoff wheel.Hehe...Turbine canopy Now I gotta get thinking of how to match the paint.Looks great. It does look way too small for the 37.
As soon as you say F1 I think Ferrari-red and yellow.
Oh,almost forgot, the MG doesn't look too bad.Just surface with no cracks.

Hahahahaha - yup, kinda got overzealous with that hull - so I guess I have to buy it now!

I went to google and typed "f1 powerboats" then clicked on 'images' - lots of paint schemes, but still couldnt find something that I like.

Hahaha - will let MG rest a bit as Im eager to try its bigger brother!

Speaking about the bigger cat, I started work on the ride pads and have outlined a probable canopy opening. Check it out in the pics below.

Nice work Macdon! Can't wait to see the finished hull! I see a kit-kat themed pen holder on your table. Why not make it the big cat or the F1's paint scheme?

Since you mentioned having a good custom decal maker, im inclined to look at more elaborate themes hahahaha!
