What do you guys call that rear part of a cat where the strudder is connected to? Transom extension, sub transom or just transom?
Anyhoo, I just finished making it - so now will wait a bit for my worker to be free so he could bondo the whole boat. I will be adding the canopy and ride pads after shaping the boat.

Thanks Jason, I appreciate the nice words :)

Your turbine canopy should be arriving anytime soon as it shipped via EMS. Do let me know when it comes in :)

This is all new to me so quite excited to also see the results. What motor size and kv do you envision for a 37" size cat anyway?

Yeah, I kinda thought doing it this way would also make it easier for my worker to add the bondo - to hold its weight and can withstand the pressures of sanding, etc.
Lets just hope that the end result would make it worth molding.

Yeah, the cat was big so I had to go offline and took down the laptop from my work table - gotta have a little bit of elbow room, you know. I have a bit of time while waiting for my worker to do bondo on the cat - so will work on my mini deep vee. It needs a new stuffing tube and flex.

One of them is the canopy that I'm talking about.
I thought the same thing as well when I saw Shawn post his boat pics.

We have this 24" fiberglass shallow vee hull that I made a custom canopy for. Its an open design canopy holding 2 figures (modified from rc car driver). They're headless right now, but we have the helmet heads as well as the steering wheel. No setup on this boat yet but I figured it could be a fun boat for my 8yr old. Maybe 2 "angry birds" heads? hehehehehe!

That's a nice little hull Macdon,Great detail in the canopy. My hull is only 25" and I'm not wanting to put too much detail into it,plus,I've been thinking the good chunk of foam may help self right it.This boat has been in the air alot as it doesn't like chop too much. It's the reason I got the headcam. This is kinda my basher boat!

                    I've got 2 1717's 1580 kv.Ah,guess we need a bigger hull.But seriously,if you can do a light hull,a couple 3674's would do it.Then just need to figure 3s,4s or 5s.Or are you thinking single,then a 4082 should do it.Could put 3s2p or 4s2p and would only need 3000mah or bigger batteries.

Yup, I get a kick from basher boats - I have some 36 size outrunners that Im planning on putting into that 24" boat. My 8yo would have a blast!

I dont have plans of a twin just yet, so to try the hull I'd probably go with a single setup first. Maybe the Keda 3674 1900kv I got from Tagasagwan would work. Maybe dual 4s in parallel?
For a 37" size hull, maybe it would benefit from a little bit of weight.

How about 2 castle 1512 1,800kv or 1515 2,200kv will that work on 4S each motor for the 37" Cat?

Get a flat sheet to cover the top of the boat and place a lexan rc car driver on top of it then fashion yourself a windshield from a plastic container. Done! Its a basher boat anyway

It could be a balance of weight and power, depends on the water your on.
