    I hear ya HYDROJERRY,

The list of things I like to do is long. Only problem with me is I like to do everything well. That's why you don't see me building hulls. I'd never stop. At least with the kind of mods I do it's just a matter of chosing the electronics, balancing and sharpening a few props and making a few minor adjustments. That's why I chose a rtr boat and went from there. On my second MG I learned All I needed was an MG hull which is a hull where all you need to do is add hardware and electronics and you're good to go. I'm not breaking world or even national speed records but as far as I know I might have the fastest MG-29 out there. I'm happy with that. Can't afford to get 20 or 30 boats like some can but I make the best of the ones I have. If only I hadn't blown all that money on that heli. If I sold it I'd never get what it's worth with all the parts. On the other hand I don't think I'll ever feel comfortable flying it. I'm amazed at those guys who can master helis.

Same reason as yours Eric! Those things are nice to watch in flight but, they're pain in the neck literally! aside from they're pain in the A** when crashed! Hahaha! a fellow boater a few weeks ago crashed his Bnew 450 align heli at the pond's embankment and now he has a heli/submarine in tens of pieces. let me tell you about a very very good friend of ours! He spent countless hours building planes and he did an excellent job, but he's too afraid to fly them. hehehe! He let his fellow flyers fly his planes! Hahaha! As with the monster trucks, I bash them like there's no tomorrow! Now I have 2 lying around that need parts replacements. I love boats as long as I can remember. I use to carve boats from Styrofoam when I was a kid and install motors from my toy cars. I even made a triple hull boat out of wood. Those were my crazy days! Hahaha!

Well, I dont have much to share regarding my rc cars/planes last 20+ yrs back - both have changed significantly as decades pass.
What I could share however are some pics of my Geico which run great yesterday! I had 2 sort of cartwheels yesterday but MG landed upright - so on both times off it went again! Amazing - i love this boat!

In the pics below, you'll see me wearing the proper boating shirt, a pic of my Geico with the club's retrieval boat in the background, doing some maintennance on the boat, my Geico running and pics of my MG alongside some nitro boats.
It surely was great fun and great food as it also marked our small xmas party. Too bad stephen arrived late and half the guys already left - darn traffic that normally takes just 15min took about 2 hours! Nonetheless, the day was definitely worth it!

        Back to topic:
The turbine version canopy mockup is already with my worker for cleanup, sanding and finally prepping for molding! Will post pics as it gets developed!

Ahaaaa! You're Back online ehh! Too bad I arrived late! Like they say, "It's better late than never!" Nice photos! I wonder where's the pics of the pearl yellow boat?
Fun day yesterday! My boat runs greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!! I can't seem to flip that darn thing! Hahaha! Loves choppy water! The best part is the guys sharing jokes and teasing the ones running boats! Foods great too! I ate the last plate of damplings! Then Macdon was asking for more! Too late bro! Hahaha!

              MY 1/350 scale USS Enterprise

Here's my USS Enterprise 1/350 scale model converted to RC. All 4 props and 4 rudders are functional. I used 4 CD ROM motors for propulsion and 1 servo w/ linkage system to move all 4 rudders at the same time. All planes, helis and support vehicles on deck has complete decals and clear canopy.

Stephen (Tagasagwan) really does great paintwork! If only I have an inch of his talents!

Well, the following pics might pale in comparison with what has been shown lately - but I promised you guys some developmental pics of the canopy..........

Glad to hear I'm not alone when it comes to heli's Stephen. Maybe I had the wrong idea. All this time I thought heli's were meant to be flown above water. Maybe I should have been flying them under water like our friend.

Funny thing is I used to make styrofoam boats as a kid also. Mine were rubber-band powered though. I was about 8 years old at the time and hadn't had any rc trucks yet.

HYDROJERRY, I know the feeling. I live in Lenoir, North Carolina, a town of about 18,000 and as of yet I havn't found any fellow f.e. boaters. My family thinks I spend too much time on my boats and the nearest lake is 10 miles from my house. I sold my car to move from Washington State and with the local economy here in Lenoir it may be a while before I can afford a car. At 49 years of age it's hard to have to bum a ride so I can drive my boats. If you can post videos of your boats we'll be right there with you. This is the one place I can come to be with fellow boaters like you. Thanks HYDROJERRY for being part of our group. If any of you ever make it to my neck of the woods please let me know. I'm about 60 miles north of Charlotte North Carolina. I'd love to see y'all fellas.

Please jasoncyclone, let us see your MG and Genesis runs would you. I've put my lipos on store mode as I might not have many chances to run my MGs for a while. I love watching the videos posted here in this forum. Were all waiting. Hope you have lots of fun on Friday.
