I have a leopard 4074 motor 2200kv. You guys are recommending the x442. What are your opionions on the m445 with my set up? how does the castle creation 1515 motor compare to the leopard 4074 motor? Does the rubbermaid lid fit with the 1515 motor?Comment

it's easier to see that there is enough water flowing thru the cooling system.

I am using a Tacon 4074 motor on mine I have both a 2000 kv and a 2150 kv motor. I am using the HK 180 amp constant 360 amp peak esc. I have used bot an Octura x442 and a Grim Racer 42x55 prop. I have just mounted an Octura x642 prop and have an x645 on the way. CAN'T WAIT! So far on 6s the highest temp I have registered is 114 degrees on the motor and 112 degrees on the esc and lipos. This is well within the safe zone. Haven't put a gps on it yet as I don't have one but I can tell you she is fast. I know my temps will be higher with the x645 prop but I would bet it should still be in the safe zone. I always check temps before I tape the hatch for long runs. I considered a 4082 motor but don't see much need plus as indicated above I would need to replace the hatch. Why do that when I can run 10 minutes on 6s without even breaking a sweat? I may consider using one of my less aggressive props if the water temps get real hot but for now I have never had any real need.Comment

eco - what brand and mah packs are you running to get that 10 minutes? I'd like to increase my runtime since I'm closer to 5 minutes. Hope that motor lasts at 44,000 rpm unloaded. Thanks. OH and a vid is a must!Comment

Uh, yeah, sure they do. Let 'em go, Rum. Its a waste of key strokes. Im just going to sit back and watch the show and watch parts and money burn.Comment

Hopefully it's a live and learn thing. Unless money is no option and you like to see things fry? Gives an excuse to buy more stuff?
Perhaps I shall buy stock in some rc electronics manufactures then promote doing things to burn them up?Land, Sea & Air, A true RC Addict.Comment
