Correct. And less tongue generally will pull less amps.

So, I noticed someone sold their stock motors. This should be good.

I Detounged my 447s, and have yet to have a day to try it. What I understand is you get the pitch of a larger blade, but more tourqe and less RPM. Detounge them and keep the pitch but run at a higher rpm, hence speed.

When you detounged , you get less area on each blade , so it is easier for the motor to spin the prop and you get more rpm !

Banzee, thanks for dropping in on my video. Didn't know that was you! Lol. On another note, has anyone noticed that their left stock flex cable is bent a little? I finally got the Zelos up and running using two older ESC's in the interim. Fired her up, right side spins like it has a bucket of butter pasted on it! Smoooooth! Left side is wobbly and has more play in the strut! Which in turn makes for some heavy vibration noises. Both props have been balanced before I noticed this and I thought just maybe it went out if whack when the Zelos went into hibernation mode, nope it wasn't! Another member told me not to worry too much about it but I'm wondering if the amount of play and bent shaft has anything to do with it. Shaft came bent from factory. I thought it was normal as I never use to get that kinda vibration noise. Front bearings on both motors were recently changed and I repeat the "play" it has is not fwd and bkwd, it is left to right, up and down in the strut! Think of it as a wobbly tire on a car.

Spun them just now without the flex in the left and its buttery smooth. The little joint is either binding in the strut or its worn enough to let it have too much play.

My stock brass bushings in the struts wore out. Installed the octura lead teflon bushings and everything is wayyy smoother. You should pickup a set of OSE upgraded flexxes. Made a big difference.

Yup, kfx told me about the OSE flex which I plan on doing. Still going strong in my Voracity. How difficult is it to change the Teflon bushing? Will running it as is cause problems? I just got this thing working after a month and would be salty if anything else went wrong. If I can't, then that's another 2 weeks without her.

At high rpm any vibration isn't good. Any problems? Cant say. Could last, could chatter and bind. Shaft snaps bye bye prop and possibly stuffing tube.

Yes sir. A good 1/4" bit drillpress or vise. Carefull the bit will want to grab the brass/ aluminum.
