Went for another run, less windy but still not ideal running situations. River was choppy. 6mph E winds. Fully charged SMC's. No ESC or receiver issues and the boat was not taking in any water from what I could tell. (Thank you Lord!) Did 1 all out run, from my counting was holding the trigger for 6 seconds before I had to let up (wall) Brought her in and she had 56mph. Like I mentioned it was not ideal conditions but the boat was stable for all d runs. (Packs all the way forward)

As long as they are the same prop, sharpened and balanced then the minute difference in weight doesn't matter.

I didn't check the weight exactly , i just put the 2 props , after been sharp and balance them , on a heli prop balancer to if the are almost the same weight and they look good !!

Thank's for your answer , i was just asking myself if the 2 props are not at almost the same weight , it may be give more stress on the motor who drive the heavier .

For those that ran stock props to get around 60mph, did you guys detoung or just sharpen and balance? My stock props both are a bit off balance so I'm gonna rest the Octuras and give the stop props another go. Thanks

Low 60's with the wind, high 50's against the wind, with balanced and sharpened stock props. Did not touch the rudder.

I'll be adding an air dam to mine.
what do you guys mean about a "air dam?"

I used a piece of carbon fiber tube on this boat for cleanliness. You just need something to disturb the air in the front. Bout 1 3/4" - 2" back

Im getting it, it distrupts the air flow disturbance , but what does it do/gain? im thinking by having that would not let boat "suck down"? please help me understand, back when..... we never used that

It will just disturb/ rough up the airflow going under the boat so its not so packed/ condensed. Should allow me to get more of the boat out of the water without the pressure under the boat causing liftoff. Put your finger over a running water hose, the velocity increases but the volume is cut down. Things are going to get hairy at 90+.

Just came from a ride today , my first time with the props sharp and balance. I notice that the boat turn a little bit harder , need more room .Is it possible that the props more sharper did this ?? I never notice that cuz before got only V hull . Did some speed runs and only got 45 mph , cuz i got old turnigy batteries and the water condition was a little bit wavy !. Got better batteries to come soon !!

The tunnel packs air to lift the boat more out the water to help increase speed, efficiency and cut drag. But my theory is (and it makes sense and I'm sure I'm right) is once you get to a certain speed the hull packs enough air and lift that it becomes harder to keep it from flying off the water....from too much lift. If you put something in the tunnel to disrupt this some then it won't have as much lift. Cutting some of that out doesn't seem to slow the boat down but yet makes it faster and more stable at higher speeds. What speed would that be? That depends on the hull. I'll tell you this also, I picked up a solid 2mph on two different (well same hull design but different sizes) boats. Both boats were running exactly 98 mph and never went any faster than 98. Both boats went 99.9 and one broke 100 on the second pass.
