Which hull to get (using sv27 electronics)

    Hi all!

I would like to build something a bit better handling then sv.

I get 41-43MPH of it, but it flips so easily, and i dont like the looks of this hull eighter.

I cant afford larger scale atm, but I have couple ot hulls in mind

All of them are from here http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Promise-..._fsubZ14959099

What would you recommend for me?

I would like to try cat next, but is that 29" one too large for sv stock electronics?

I use 2s lipos and x642 on sv, what would be needed to get this going? -smaller prop needed?

Or am I better with something smaller, like the 25" mono.

    Any ideas are appreciated here!

A 29" cat should work great with the SV goodies.

The SV27 setup has alot potential in it. Our club in Co. is running a bunch of 36" 10th scale boats to really nice speeds. I know nothing about monos or cats (I love hydros) so I couldn't really help with hulls. Just wanted to let you know not to be worried about the bigger hulls.

            That´s great info.

So is this http://cgi.ebay.com/29-Phantom-catam...ayphotohosting a good hull? -I dont understand that much what a cat should look like.

What about the parts needed to make it work?

            -the sv rudder should work,right?

-What about the sv prop shaft, and what strut should I get for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/strut-3-16-cable...3%3A1|294%3A30 -any good?

Servo mount, some pushrod for steering, what else is needed?

If possible from the same place as the hull.

But maybe on a good race day I'll take the drive and check it out!

If some of you are running larger V- hulls on sv elecs, would that be better choice then that 29" cat?

I drive my boats mainly in sea (the gulf of Finland) ,and the place is relativily calm, but there is 1-5" waves quite often +the waves that boats make...

-these are my usual driving spots

Are catamarans better when the sea is calm or rough? -I have seen vids on YT that makes me belive that smal catamarans dive quite often when there is some waves.

And V-hulls just fly from wave to wave.

                  Am I correct?

If so, what can the stockers handle -I would like to use the sv hardware too if possible.

                  29" V http://cgi.ebay.com/29-deep-V-nitro-...ayphotohosting

                  33" V http://cgi.ebay.com/33-deep-V-nitro-...ayphotohosting -too much?

                  39" V http://cgi.ebay.com/39-deep-V-mono-b...ayphotohosting -way too much?

Are the stock rudder/strut,etc... too smal for this? -do I need longer flex?

                  25" V http://cgi.ebay.com/Boogieman-25-dee...ayphotohosting

                  Will 2 2s1p lipos fit in that 25" ?

What prop to use on larger hulls? -215?

If it is possible to use large hulls, even if the speeds drop to ~35mph, I would do it to get better handling.

I think the 29" would be the limit with the SV power..

? -they list it as 800grams, 29" V hull there is the same weight.

Have you held it on your hands?

even the 25" is 600g ,so is this major trouble? -the nimh´s will out weight the difference of 29 and sv ,right?(since sv was made for nimh´s . -I dont know what sv weights though) -I use 2s1p lipos.

yes i have one, it must be a miss print as from memory it weighed about 1800g
i have just put a 580l in it, total weight including batteries is around
                          3.5kg (7.7 pounds)
a 25"-29" deltaforce hull or copy would be great for the sv27 gear

Wow! that heavy . Thanks for this warning, saved me some $$$(well €)

So the 25" boogieman should really rip with sv gear? http://cgi.ebay.com/Boogieman-25-dee...3%3A1|294%3A30

from what I can see it looks good. -what do you think?

Or link to something good, but cheap :) -around 150 shipped

as far as i know the boogieman is the same bottom as the df/prince with a diffrent top, i think bustitup has one and could tell you more on that hull.
785boats has run the sv27 motor in the 25" df/prince hopfully he will chime in give you an idea on prop etc
all the gear from your sv will fit you could use the rudder and strut trim tabs ,turn fins
