i have never had any trouble with my 25" with the batteries at the side.
i made the batterie tray in the 33' to take 4s2p so its a bit wider, now i run 4s 1p so i could make the tray lower but decided to leave it to give me more battry options
if going with the 29" i would put the batteries in front

        3.5kg (7.7 pounds)
a 25"-29" deltaforce hull or copy would be great for the sv27 gear
I have the 29"Cat too,i stripped all the wood stringers out and mine weighed 1480g with strut and rudder fixed on.

Mine ran last yr with a lightweight Mega motor on 4S,ok but nothing special.Same motor in the 33" mono version, same seller, ran a good 5-10mph quicker.
The 29" cat is awaiting a Larger medusa motor on 5S lipo, which WILL be quick.
I would say go for the 29" mono, which i also have, nice fast hulls.

yea i stripped the stringers out of mine but added a layer of carbon. mines probably a bit heavy as will be running 4s2p with the 580l

            great minds think alike!
Keep us informed of your progress, reckon these hulls with the right setup should be fast and stable.
Only minor niggle is taping up the canopy round the front profile, but i've got a few ideas

yea the tape jobs a pita, going to test mine 2morrow with the 580 see how it goes, one thing i have found even tho the hull is a bit weighty there is a lot of lift built in probably cause its copied of the insane gas hull wich are great rough water cats. will let you know how it goes

what prop do you intend to use?which turn,kv, 580?
Dont want to go too far off topic, but fastV was interested in this hull so info might come in handy.

The hull looks good to me, any thoughts?

I would go with the extra size..
the 29 set up right should get you the same speeds as you SV. this boat can be set up a little wet and not flip like the SV

Just received reply from seller and I´ll go for the 29" Got the hull, servo mount, scuffing tube, motor mount. All for a good combined price.

Thanks for helping me to choose right hull!

I smell a buid thread coming soon

Anybody got pics of different corored hulls(this or delta force 29)? -thinking something "not too toy like" -colour combo(since i can choose the colour ).

I've just been having a read through this thread & I reckon you've made a good choice. If I'd seen it earlier I would have recommended it too. I've been thinking of getting one too but there's too many projects on the workbench already.
As previously stated by ozzi crawl I ran the Sv 27 package in the 25" hull & worked up to an X645 prop.
As an indicator here it is with no trim tabs or turn fins on cheap 4s lipos.

It will be good to see yours on the fly to see how the setup works. You will do a bit of a build log won't you?
                        All the best.
                        Paul.

785boats, thanks for your input also.

                          That 25 SURE GOES!

I will take few pics and write a few notes when I start this build.

Still not sure of colour ...red/white, blue/white red/red...

(this is a good problem though)

Brod, you got some nice boats there! -is that gelcoat or paint? -how is that craftmanchip ? -since you got black ones, I imagine there could be some smal imperfections somewhere? (black is so difficult color)

-Black does look good (and would look great with my de-anodized and polished sv parts)

But Since I painted mu sv black ,I most likely will get something else.

The red/white is good looking too,(saw one on the boat build forum)

Still waiting 4 the sellers contact with payment instructions...
