I bought some two 6s4200mah 35c for the SS45, still haven't ran them yet.
I bought two 4s4200mah 35c for my DF33" and it flat out flies now.
I also bought some 4s5000mah 25c cells for my 1/8th scale truck.
All my FP cells were replaced with the Hyperion G3 cells this season and so far there has been a big performance increase in every model I have tried them in.
    Thanks for the info Raydee,,

So, you are running only 5500mah at 35C total for the Whip20? What motor is in your DF33? I run the 1521/1.5D in my DF32,, was planning on running the packs in parallel for 11000mah total and prop down for practice and gain some run time.. Also thinking of charging these at 2C since that is all my chargers will push out,, what do you think about these high charge rates?

I am ordering 2 6s 5500VX G3's from Mr. Hill,,, so now I can run the 2 4s 5500's in the Whip20 and DF32",, run the 2 6s 5500's in the Whip40 and run all of them together in the 10s2p Conquest Cat....

Cant wait to try them head to head with the Flightpower EVO 30 4500's I am running and the Neu 5000/30C packs I run in the Conquest... Should be interesting to see who comes out on top for my applications???
Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

Yes I am only running 5500mah total in my Whip, just not enough room in mine the way it was built for more. I am planning to change the motor to a 1515 2.5d to gain some run time out of it. I have a PT Sport 20 that I bought from Jay Turner last season that will fit 10,000mah much easier, I will put my 1515 1Y in that boat instead. My DF 33 is running a 1521 1.5d on 8400mah total.

As far as the charge rates I am charging mine at 1c for now. Once I get more cycles on them I plan to def charge at 2c but I really doubt I need to charge them any faster than that OR have a charger that will anyway

Nice to see that Mr. Hill is starting to carry the G3 packs, I thought for sure he was dead set against them after reading one of his posts on RC Groups.

I am not set against anything....I wonder how LiPoly will pass the new regulations that are coming though. Let's not go there, it's been delayed so far twice.

Ah the great LiPo mystery. Who are the real manufacturers and not ASSEMBLERS???? and why is one battery with the same suspect claims, half the cost. We need clarity on these issues.

Here's a 1415 2.5d for a good price. Same diameter as the Feigao XL motors.

Yep, you're preachin to the choir here! I have been doing business with China for years. I know full well how they operate. Start out with excellent quality and then after you have built a good reputation for your product they drop the ball. One such misadventure almost bankrupted me. Now I don't do business with them unless I go over there and establish a friendly personal relationship with them. If you do that, they will rarely dork you over.

FP did not pay their bills, which I don't doubt after the first one
FP, Hyperion, Neu and TP are all using this new China factory, less cost and higher rate cells
I supsect you will see bad batches of these new cells as well from time to time. China factories will lure you in and cut costs with a lower quality raw material and after some time admit, oh, we made a mistake on that run. We promise to never do that again. Steven V and I both have that experience.

The motor in the picture at that link sure isn't the motor they are selling. If you look, the length of the motor is only 38mm! It's a little shortie. That's the reason for the price. Not much power with a short can.

You are wrong. I purchased the 1415 1y version and it is the same length as the 1515 1y. Only difference is can diameter. The rotor and length is the same as 1515. Same with 2.5D version.

sorry, I was looking at the rotor/magnet length. Only 1.5" which is only 38.1mm. Why is the rotor so short if the can is the same as the 1515? Hmmm, guess I'm confused.

HERE are the facts... it's not a short can, it's just the dia. that's smaller so it can fit places where normally only the 05 cans would fit. The rotor is the same as a 1515 motor, not a "shorty".

2.5d is not listed on Nue's or Castle's site, but they do make it.

In a 1/8th scale truck they need a little less diameter, I believe that is why Neu made these motors. For us boaters I think a larger can helps keep the motors cooler.
