Ok, we are getting somewhere now. You have a eagletree to borrow. Thats great news. Is the motor still labeled?

Apples, forgive me, but I don't know your background. Have you run a rigger before? Can you hook up with the other Aussie guys to maybe work this out?

I used my SC in the boat, did you calibrate the SC to your radio?Opps I saw that that had been asked. 4S pack should have 15.+ volts

John I never found out if you got the sponsons reassembled correctly. That is if the rear three inches of the ride pads are parallel to each other? If one is pointing down it will slow the boat down a lot. I allso wanted to know what is the inclanation of the sponsons now that you have reasambled it? While I was packing and getting ready for the race in Az. I took the time to set up a boat of mine and took a few pictures to make it easyer for you to understand what I was asking.
You guys seam to think that I do not care and left John holding the bag. I did not. This boat is not a lemon. I put a lot of hard work in to this boat and offered to have it shipped back to me at my expense to fix anything that I was responsable for. John declined the offer.

Cant afford the Expensive shipping and running the risk of getting it stoped by customs again. Plus i have a race meeting in four weeks and i doubt it would get back to AUS by then.

Safety cutoff at least at 13.2v (IMO)

                but keep the ideas coming.
John unless you made a typo the voltage is your problem. As Randy said the voltage should be a lot higher.

I was running 4S2P in the boat it was split 4S1P on each side. It should still be about the same, but the 2P gives a lot more punch.

I am still conserned about the sponsons and the setup. I had a idea for a picture to explain what I am looking for.

You guys down under are possably in your sleep time and I need to pull the motor out of my 4Runner, so I will post the pictures later.

Sorry John, I woke up to that on the way to work.
What is the RTR weight of the boat?
There can only be two major differences to the way you and Randy run it that I can see.
                          1. Hull setup
                          2. Esc settings.

I guess Randy gave you the strut depth.
AoA will make a little difference to speed

Are you setting the esc up via Castle Link or the radio? I only ask that because if you got the wrong software for the Castle Link that can make a big difference to speed. I know I am grasping at straws when I mention the software but we have to look at everything.

John I have both the Eagle Tree and Castle Link here if you want to borrow them.

Use the latest release of Castle software...it works and again recalibrate and look for a steady led on full throttle. The only other answer is a suspect motor.

I just took a picture of my little rigger that runs a UL 1 motor at about 50MPH. It is eazy to hold the boat and the camera. first picture shows how to hold the boat down putting the right sponson flat on the table.

The second picture showa how the ride pad on the rear is parallel to the other sponson or flat to each other.

The boat above has hit a few bouies and in the process one time the Boom did not get put back correctly. the front of the boom was 1/16 of a inch or 1.5 MM Higher than it should have been this made the ride pad down in front and the boat would not go over 25 to 35 MPH. I reset it and it flyes!
