When you do find out and you are ready to connect power, if you are using 8S there is going to be a hell of a spark when you connect up.

You could make a portable anti-spark device.
Ray, you mind explaining the best way or picture to prevent a spark. Is there some sort of regulator I can purchase?

        The long school version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X71Suakve6A

        The shorter version.

You can use a resistor of a few ohms up to 300 ohms. The lower the value the faster the capacitors charge. I am odd and use a portable spark suppressor instead of building it into the battery esc circuit.

I use a 300ohm 1/4 watt or 1/2 watt resistor wired in series between two alligator clips with a couple feet of lamp cord.

Plug in one side either positive or negative since it doesn't seem to matter and then use the spark suppressor to connect in between the other battery lead. It only takes a few seconds at the most. I then quickly connect the second battery plug and there is no spark.

There are far more elegant ways to do this and there are some threads on it in here somewhere.

Like the XT90 connector you can incorporate the resistor into one lead of your esc.
