I used Marine Goop (Canadian Tire) and then once it dries, I drilled a few small holes and inserted expandable foam inside, its solid as a rock. I'll get some pics posted this weekend.

Home Depot has it as well.

I have one as well. I can tell you they are extremely sensitive to CG, you are going to have to add weight to the front having your esc behind the motor. I know the room is extremely tight, but the problem with these boats is getting the CG forward compared to most hydros

How big of a battery can you get in that hull? I know its a big boat but doesn't look to friendly for batteries.

I think Doby jams a HobbyKing Turnigy 8000Mah 6S brick up front.

Almost wish I never sold the boat but, I have too many. Bill F is peeved I sold it to you. That's Bill for ya...

I have a question on this? How do I use both batteries?

Well, you better find out EXACTLY what KV your motor is before powering it up. The KV number is under the water jacket if you can't find your receipt.

If the motor is Approximately 2000kv those packs can be used in parallel or individually. If the motor is around 800kv-1000kv then you could run them in series.

Just find out motor rpm first and get back to us ok?

Ray is right...if you don't know what the KV is..then you could have problems.

Mine runs on a single 6S 40C 5000mah Turnigy Lipo. lots of room in the "cockpit" for it.

On FD's website, he has this boat for sale RTR on 8S (says it will run 4-8S)...as I see in your first few pics, there seems to be a castle Ice HV controller....so it an ASSUMPTION that it would be set up for 8S and the KV of the motor would be appropriate for that voltage...BUT THATS ONLY AN ASSUMPTION.

Sorry. I mean that the KV number is on the motor can under the cooler. you have to slide the cooler off to see it.

it would be easier to find your receipt.

And get rid of that one kink in the cooling hose in the bottom left of the esc picture.

My guess is that its a Leopard 4082 around 1000kv-1200kv. Just a guess. Find out 4 sure.

When you do find out and you are ready to connect power, if you are using 8S there is going to be a hell of a spark when you connect up.

You could make a portable anti-spark device.
