I think it like 4.29" or something like that. Check when I get home. Well at least I got a good laugh. Wasted 60 bucks tho. Hahaha

So I just got a return mail from the guy who did this other prop for me. He said I should have hardened it. Wait. What? No, for $60 he should have done it or at least told me it needed to be done. So he tells me afterwards? Funny.

I thought I was paying for a finished prop? Never one time did he mention I needed to do more work to it. Had I known that I wouldn't have bought it. That was the whole point in my buying it and not doing it myself, so I didn't have to fool with it. Ugh. I'm not very happy about this. I'm done paying other people to do something for me.

I've never seen a single blade bend back like that. Only thing I can think was maybe it was thinned out a little too much or it hit something when it was dropped in the water. Hardening can be helpful but it can make further mods to a prop difficult. Also if you can throw a blade if done incorrectly.
Mike, both blades are bent back just the same.

Just talked to him again. I guess by the way he worded it, I'm an idiot because I assumed his prop was ready to go. Lol. I never had a prop bend on me. Dasboata's prop didn't band on me. Was it hardened?

I'm pretty sure Chris hardens his props, and as far as I'm concerned he's the only one I'd buy props from. I've never heard of anyone having problems with his props, I personally have bought two props from him and both were excellent!

Well needless to say, I won't be buying another prop from this other guy. I was basically l told I should have known it wasn't hardened. Didn't offer to do another one for meat a cheaper price, was told he couldn't fix it either. I dunno, me I do business with people much differently. I don't rely on the fact that someone buying something from me should know exactly every question they should ask. I tell them everything they need to know up front before the sale. Especially if it's someone I've never dealt with before. I'm just venting, sorry, I'm just a little floored at the responses I got from this guy. Back to the regular program. I'm headed to a lake right now and see if I can run it out a little farther. Wish me luck!

Yea man this guy made it paper thin and I for sure thought that him making it that thin he would have

                          A) hardened it
                          B) at least said something.

I straightened it out this evening and attempted to harden it. I read a process that supposedly works if you don't have an oven (what have I got to lose anyway? I was gonna chunk it in the trash lol). You slowly heat the prop up to the point it glows dull red (I wore a respirator just in case) and then quench it in water. Then put in my powder coat oven at 500 degrees for 30 minutes and let it cool by itself. Prolly didn't help any but what the hell.

It's cool. I just won't deal with the guy again. I ordered 3 props from ose last night and another m645 from kintec tonight. I'm sure I can get this thing to go a little faster. I did order an abc prop to try also. Then I have that 1521 neu to try out and I'll be ordering some revolectrix batteries soon. Just let me know when you need the plate made...
