I appreciate your support and I hope I can deliver a product worth using on your builds.
I am going to be starting a new job this month so that means 2 things.
Good side is ill have funds to finish my mill asap and get working on this.
Bad side is limited time to work on it at first.
If this thread goes dead in the near future do not worry I am still going to produce a product from this. I will try to update as much as possible.

      Kevin,

Good luck with the new job ! Then hang tight - I have another "product idea" that should be fairly easy with a mill and is sorely needed

ok guys i made some progress since i received the stock block from Alexgar.
spent some time on auto cad finishing it up.
gonna need to cut one out and figure out sealing but the piece on the left will be cut out of aluminum and will have optional water inlet/outlet ports (red lines)
the piece on the right is the top. it will be cut from Plexiglas or acrylic and have optional inlet/outlet ports. (red circles)
            T180 proto 1.0.jpg
still gonna take a few weeks to get the mill running and get the prototype drawing converted to G-code and tested.
            but i am progressing slowly..
keep an eye out for more design ideas.
i have a few ideas brewing thanx to properchopper!! ill post here when i get any progress.

That's looking great. I wonder if they should just be sold as a kit. The buyer could use silicone to seal it before installing it. Wouldn't be a huge deal. Just a thought.

That's a thought I had too. Or I may silicone them before shipping. Not sure yet.

                    Spec Motor Lead Cooling Blocks

                    Hey NorCalZ71,
I was at the Michigan Cup a few weeks ago and noticed a cool invention
by Terry Davis. He had a water cooled block on his spec motor leads.
The motor lead issue is a sore point with many racers. The stock insulation
at the point the leads enter the can heat up and quickly short the motor
causing a premature burn up of the stator windings. Ny placing a water
cooled block over the leads near the entry point it cooled these wires
and also served as a manifold guide to the ESC. I do not have any pics
but this simple cooling block with 3 holes for the wires and an inlet and
outlet port for the water connections could be made in a variety of ways.
I would suggest that extra insulation be provided at those 3 holes so
this heat sink does not end up being the shorting point as well.
Just thought this was an ingenious idea.
                    Your Thoughts ?

That kind of thing is exactly why I opened this thread. I don't have an aq motor to design from, I do need one tho..
I think that I could do something along what your describing. I'll look into it as soon as I have a prototype of the t180 plate.

                      Kevin.

If you sell em as kits it is less work for you and less headache. At least nobody can ever say their esc blew because you didn't seal it properly.

This is an example of one I made to fix the width issues.
