Nice man. That's a garunteed awesome setup. 15 degrees motor timing which the 180 esc is ore programmed to anyways. I suggest grabbing the program card for 10 bux, well worth itComment

A 36mm motor would work just as good in this hull,
With out all the torque to.
The boat hull is very light to begin with.Comment

HV....just got the SK 180 in the mail today. After reading looking at the ESC and reading instructions I have a few questions. Please dont laugh but Im new to all this but want to learn.
1) The SK has no on/off switch like the stock dynamite. Does this need one? and if so how do I do this
2) I noticed it has 4 ports for the cooling hose. Does it matter how I run the hose? I imagine one in, then a very short section of hose to connect the two, then one through the motor and out the side
3) Does it matter the way I orientate the ESC inside the hull to get better cooling?
4) IS this easy to program with my stock receiver/transmitter that comes with the BJ 29? It seemed rather confusing.
5) what is that "thing" that is connected to the ESC.? it has a black and red wire and black shrink wrap over it.
6) What up with the "green ring" that is on the wire that connects to the receiver?
Thanks for you help. I know these probably sound like stupid questions but this is my first time connecting a new ESC and new motor. Ive only had the boat for 3 months. But Im hooked! Its a ton of fun and eager to learn about this hobbieComment

No it doesn't need an on off switch, it turns on once it has power, yes on the cooling on in and short u on the other side them out to other, no the orientatation doesn't matter, programming without the card is probably fairly hard, the "thing" connected to the esc with the black and red wires are extra capacitators, as the green thing is just to reduce the amount of length on the wire.
Edit: man that shipped SUPER fast!!!Comment

Yeah it did, have ordered other items from OSE and Kintech and had no problems. OSE is right in Chelsea,Ma only about 50 miles north of Plymouth, so that helps! Waiting on the motor and 5.5 bullets from keith bradley so I can solder, mount, connect and hopefully run in the next week. Im sure I will have some more Qs before its done! lol
Thanks for all your help guys

Where do u have ur strut set?? If u go check my last thread in the mystic category, Lenny and a couple other users have me some setup tips, that would be useful as u have basically the same setup as I do, only thing different is prop different brand battery and motor, but the hull is almost exactly the sameComment
