        Thanks,
But it's a work in progress, But getting there step by step.
I ran it that day on the spare of the moment in the video,
So when I was running it, I was not pushing to hard and just see how it was handling.
Also I do not have the inner lid for it and did not have the hatch taped,
And I did not have any retrieval stuff with me.
So I was trying to play it safe on that run.

I want the boat too be fast (who doesnt right!) and get a set up that will last. I am not to impressed with the stock ESC and motor as I only ran the boat a handful of times and had problems. Like I said I planned on upgrading everything anyway, just a little sooner now that I am having problems. I am running on 4S and dont want to upgrade the batterys yet, but make plans to run 6S and 4S. What is the benefit of 4 or 6? Like I said Im new to this and love running my boat. I live right on a 50 acre pond and will use it all summer.Basically want something that will be reliable. I have about $200-250 to spend on the upgrade and looking for recommendations. Is the SK 180 a good ESC? Thanks guys.

Yes seaking is a good choice and I don't know the exact specifications, (Lenny or someone can help u more) but u can only run 6s on a certain amount of kv, if u were to stay 4s then the 2150 would be good but since u plan to run 6s u have go lower on kv. Agin I don't the specific kv

180 is a decent esc. i use them.
as far as a motor, 4s and 6s are a good bit apart from eachother. a motor that performs well on 6s isnt gonna be as great on 4s, and visa versa, a good 4s motor is gonna be way overkill on 6s.
you need to really decide what you want to run on cell voltage and try to stick with it.
leopard os a good motor, but a killer setup would be 180 and nue 1515 1y on 4s imo

thanks Heaving Earth. Might just stick with 4S then, maybe buy a 3 cell and run 5s. Would that work with 180 and a nue 1515? On that set-up what kind of speed can I expect? Im looking to get in the high 40s low 50s. By the way, what is "1y"?

1y is the wind of that motor, its 2200kv, and yes you can run it on 5s. on 4s with the 1515 i was getting right around 50mph and on 5s right around 56mph. and yues im using the t180 esc with that

The Neu is pretty pricey at$240. I am looking to spend around $125. Can I get a decent motor for this price?

Yes the nue is very pricey, but u do get what u buy! Much higher quality than say a tacon or leopard though!!! If u have the bank go with the Neu! However u don't so I would have to say a leopard

Keithbradley boats has castle motor 1515 1y for 120 now! That's an excellent motor and designed by Neu. It's equivalent if not better and wayy better than any leopard. Grab that

I actually swapped my Neu for the castle motor. It's a slightly larger can size also at about 40x75 opposed to the Neu which is more like 39x68

Found one for $170 and was ready to pull the trigger on that but will check out keithbradley. Do I need another motor mount or will this fit the stock one in the BJ 29?

Well the hole spacing is 25mm so thats fine. But not 100% if there needs to be any mods, I don't think it will but I don't own that boat so not sure
