Maybe he means he reversed the polarity and smoked the speedo. You NEVER want to have two males or two females on the speed controller. That being said, I got the bullets mixed up once and tried to plug a 5000 mah 4s battery into itself. Gets your attention. So, as we all know, think while you're hooking up.

Been there, done that! And I wondered why the spark was so big and healthy? ( was told the spark was a sign the caps are doing their jobs)

what i did is when i soldered on the bullets on the esc i realized i had the positives as females on the batteries and the series plug so just made the bullets on the esc work instead of resoldering them all. Its fine unless you pull a bone head like me....im going to definatel fix this so it cant happen again

Why do you need a series plug? I'm still confused

Series- red esc wire to red of pack #1
Black esc wire to black of pack #2
Finally connect the two packs together with the remaining red and black connectors
What's all the confusion and what the heck did this guy do?

I like to hook my batteries in series with a plug before connect to the esc, Sometimes i run a single 5s pack that i just plug directly in
