    Hey Jerry,
    I love the paint job.
I would take off the washer at the drive dog and strut,
And just keep a gap of ID of shaft.
That may be your problem their.
I just use a gap on all my boats drive lines.

thanks Lenny and its funny you say that cuz after every run the shaft was drawn up to the ring when i installed it with a gap.

Yeah, that's what happens when the coupler starts slipping. Come to think of it, the reason I know that is because the coupler DID slip at one time. So much for my prior statement! It's been a while and my memory sucks. Your statement about the dissappearing gap triggered something in the cobwebs. It had me baffled for a while because it never completely let go like yours. I thought I had the incredible shrinking flex cable!! I just cranked on it, but like I said earlier - stick with what you know works.

I'm waiting on a new ESC from FC...

Jerry, another small bit of advice. While your photos are not of the final setup try to remember you want the water line going to the motor mount inlet to exit the cooling jacket from the highest point possible. Not the closest low exit point. Make sense?

I saw someone in this thread mention MR200 receiver. I saw this post below showing an interaction problem with MR200 and a Hitech servo--
                  Hydrojerry-- what is your config?

Ok Dave ill have to look at it tonight,, was trying to get it back together in a hurry must have missed that,,and the coupler is a fightercat coupler, i no i got it for the wright size and have broken more than one octura couplers tightening them so i no i had this FCone very tight,,, thinking its drawing the flex up when running and pulling it up into the coupler more than it should so now im thinking either ill put my old one back on or just cut a small peice of tube to go in it so it cant draw the flex up inside it anyfarther than i set it..

Lenny, not much in my boat right now! Last setup was FC3740 1760 running up to 6S1P 5000mAh, FC 16S300A ESC, and a m445 s/b by me. I either run in a big-choppy lake or a long, narrow pond. Last time was in the narrow pond and the boat was still veering right so I could only get one sustained WOT pass. Unfortunately, it was also the last pass for the ESC. The gps read 64.5 mph max (reset just prior to taping hatch), but when I downloaded KML to google earth, it showed 51 mph max. Not sure which to believe. I need to resin some FG over the internal hull burn damage. I've been too lazy to put it all back together.

In those few runs, the boat was really ripping with the m445. Prather S215 also seemed to run well on 6S, but of course it's relatively small in dia and there was some cavitation at first - which doesn't bother me since I don't race.

I know that is exactly what will happen! I've gotten distracted by rc planes recently but that may be on hold as well. Back to boats? lol
