I know I am being conservative, I am using Sky lipo 4s, 5000 mAh 40c , parallel ( 4s2p). As far as props, I have some chioce, x642, m445, m545, I am really not "there' yet, right now I just want to make sure no major mistake before I start to drill. Oh, I plan to use Seaking 180A ESC.
I want to have good speed but my goal is to learn the right way (more or less) and the reason for the hull is the very deep-V and generous free board. I might take her as a vacation toy and the lake has some good chops. (therefore I don't mind if the boat is not THAT speedy)

I would start with the X642...check temps.... your ESC choice is good, I use the Turnigy monster 2000 200 amp and it will not require water cooling in that hull.

        Thanks!
Here are some more pictures. DSCN2289_1762.jpgDSCN2290_1763.jpg I had sealed the wood rails with "Finishing Epoxy" Now drilling starts.
If anyone can tell me these tirm tabs are ok:http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...ros-billet-tab I had stated earlier that I ordered because the mounting holes are higher and I wanted to make sure they can go thru the transom doubler, but I am having second thoughts about the performance of these blings.

Well, I have basically finished my build, neglected to order an ESC ahead of time, now the Seaking 180 and the SF 200+ are both out of stock!
Here are some pictures, thanks for everyone who have giving me advices and words of encouragement.DSCN2292_1765.jpgATTACH=CONFIG]80086[/ATTACH]DSCN2296_1769.jpgDSCN2298_1771.jpg

I was fortunate enough to read about Properchopper's suggestion to water inlet location before drilling, that is a fantastic idea and I shamlessly copied!!
