I don't have a clue, but was wondering why this is funny or would not work? Maybe a dumb question as I have never had a boat like this so just wonder what would be the down side with the design? Enlighten a dummy here
That thing looks like a BEAST.
I bet it does something special.
I've seen boats like this, My pond is arguably one of the hottest in the country. guys there buy EVERYTHING that comes out from all mfgrs.
don't knock it until you've see it run. The bottoms of the sponsons look great.
I like this thing a LOT. I wanna see it run. I've seen video of a similar one, maybe this guy figured it out. you can't say the engineer was an idiot.
I want it. I'll name it "THE BEAST". I can see that thing now makin passes at my lake.
If that thing holds its tail out of the water I'm truly FASCINATED.
I've thought of doing that to a hydro once or twice to see what the results would be but never got around to it. I'd like to see the thing running too. I reckon it would work.

See, a Canard guy can picture it!
I see those 2 sponsons as basically 2 monos.
The drive angle possibly runs somewhat level. along with air channeled under the belly pan, it suspends the rear practically removing a point when at full speed.
Only drag in the rear is the dual rudders at speed.
I'm with Bill. For $117 and change you get a VERY different boat with an epoxy hull. The stuffing tubes are unsupported and might flex too much. Maybe out drives? A different aproach for sure. JIM

Intriguing. Yes put a 3rd strut, all the same (LH) props, controlled with vector steering (one motor slows down) and call it "Prop Walker" (get it?). Would love to see a video. I had considered doing that to an NQD Rigger with two jet drives. But we decided there would be too much drag to get 'exciting' speeds. But this has potential. With three (opposing) props the only significant drag would be the rudder (not much drag there). Crap, I think I want one. Thanks a lot, Ray.
