F thanks for the welcoming words. not sure about the lipo but i just might go in the middle of the road with 9s2p, check the vid, same setup. it hauls the mail!

M5 thanks for the info on the jacket, much appreciated.

here's the vid of the setup, since mine is a ply frame-up it will need the horses... i'll go for same prop also, so i need 1/4 shaft. where to get the hardware? i want the whole package, shaft, strut, dog etc. where should i get it, any tips?

    cheers v.

i don`t think the .250 size is the way to go . i think the 5/16 setup is the one you want .

You found my Hydro vid.................thanks for the compliment. I'm running 9s2p with a Prather 270 cut down to about 62mm dia. I think i went 9s2p initially due to battery configuration/room..............it has worked out well.

And if i understand correctly you're using a 1/4" shaft?

                        Great! so 2 more questions,

1-where did you get the 1/4" drive shaft coupling to the 8mm motor shaft?

2- the specs for the C 2028 indicate "Controller Required: Sensorless only " what does that mean? Would a Maytech MTB180A-HV ESC do the job? What do you use?

                        thanks, V.

Got the coupler here on OSE and i would NOT use a 180a Esc, i chose to run a Swordfish 240a hv.

                            Swordfish will it be then.

I'm in the process of selecting the hardware from Accutech. Anything to watch for? The shaft is lubed with an oiler, is that instead of Teflon lining or an addition to it?

MaW please feel free to post any additional info that could help a newbe like myself. Thanks, V.

Ray, nice pix of your boat! I missed them first time around what steering servo are you using?

Guys, I trying to get in touch with [email protected] for the 2028 cooling jacket. 2 emails sent no replies. Anyway to get one of those?

Have you checked OSE stock? I think he has 2 or 3 in stock.
