Thanks man! I ran them in my hands and my 47incher has a similar drive but with gears and has never failed me.

Yep, will have my very first build thread Larry. Keep an eye out for it because I know I'll have some questions lol...

Come on with the questions. I'll be happy to help as much as I can. I'll be watching for the build.

What about a 47" DF copy?
are they decent in waves and wakes?

Again, not a true offshore boat with higher freeboard, deeper vee and stringer configuration found in a true offshore rc boat. GREAT heat racing hull though. I have a friend in Dallas metro that raced one for a full season and he did very well with it.

Oh I hear you that it's not a true offshore hull
but it's kinda big and running a Castle 2028 or Leopard 5692 on 10s2p could be nuts!

Guys I decided to go with a single 2028 in the 56" Fountain hull(starting a build thread tonight!). I have a 50" Apache and a 45" Insane mono on the way also. I would like to run twin's in either of those 2 hulls. I orginaly thought about the 48" DF copy hull from Promise Hobby(e-bay) for twins but after talking to some of the gasser guys, the larger gas hulls were meant for actuall Off-Shore water.

Are you thinking twin CC1717 in the 50" Apache?
I have two of those motors that could makes it way into mine if I get around to ordering that hull

Ya Todd, twin 1717's with 2 T-180's...or twin 5692's....Kinda a budget build. I'd think should be around the low to mid 50's with that Apache.
