    Large Hulls?

Who makes a LARGE Hull that can with stand some VERY choppy water. Can be a Mono Or Cat. Now when I say Choppy water I mean like ocean water conditions. My 40" Mono isn't cutting it any more for me. Today was the last straw for me when It was a beautiful day but very windy and I couldn't really run anything I have. When it gets anything over 10mph winds the lake where I live becomes Crazy choppy. I hope someone has had this problem before and can tell me where to buy LOL. thanks guys.

you would probably have to go real big like at least 50 inches plus...i have always wanted to try a rico 45 but it still may be too small for the conditions you are talking about...check out the expresscraft hulls on plum crazy boats they have many very large vees that will cost a fortune to power with electrics but its only money right? what about an aeromarine apache 55or some of the warehouse hobbies enforcer hulls can handle some rough stuff....there is an amazing you tube video of an mhz muscle i believe out in the ocean...i think its like 92 inches long its just plowing through major chop..its friggin sweet rotax powered gasser if i remember correctly

I hear wellcraft has some nice hulls...

Where are you running into ocean type waters in Ohio? Just a big lake that gets choppy that you run on? If its big great lakes style waves...obviously no RC boats are going to take 8' rollers without launching. Have you thought of a Toysport Triton? Its not that big and you would flip it but with the flood chamber it rolls right back over...seal teh hatch real well and theyre a lot of fun on rougher water.

Thats why I have a OUTLAW. I run at Buckeye Lake Keith....The waves get nasty out here man! I've thought about the self righting hulls but a big sweet looking mono would be more interesting to me. I'm kicking myself for not buying your 50" gasser hull a while ago!

Sure would....I'm not going to try and break the sound barrier, but would like to see at least 45- 50mph....Already have a 240hv esc but what motor would push a large hull into that range of speed but not kill my wallet? A Neu 2230 or a Castle 2028?

I would love to try this big Mono running a Leopard 5692 540kv on 15s and prop it low for about the same speeds as your wanting

After seeing Keith's big 50" gasser run with that 5692, I wouldn't see why a Leopard wouldn't push a 70" hull with a little more cells and wouldn't break the bank!
