Properchopper in your titan were you laying down the antenna on bottom of the hull in contact with carbon fiber or stick on the top?
It's up off the bottom; right under the deck pointing rearwards.

      Tony,

Good to hear that the GT3B worked well for you, even when pushing 70mph in your FE 30.

Now we need to get a few of these GT3Bs together in a safe environment to test for any cross talk or other interference and then its racing time!

Haven't had any "cross talk or interference" since my last wife hit the road

Tony, good to hear you like the GT3B, Peter Z and myself each ordered one and a couple receivers extra so will look forward to trying them out this spring once the snow melts. I've been using my Spektrum dx3.0 and never had a problem but the 3100 receivers are $100 each so if this radio can equal it I'll be happy.

            2.4

I bought a new tactic yesterday and my ? is ; where is the best place to put rx. I'm used to JR am for many years. The rx will be in monos and airboats. Now with answers will allow me to make a place as my JR rx was among or fairly close to servo and etc, thanks and when you get time and also your patience. Have a good day. BTW, will Corrosion-X hurt rx? This thought just popped up. Now in the posting about short antennas; SwampNut mentions to keep short antenna rx far as possible from metallic objects which will cause headaches; would this apply to 2.4 equipment rxs with internal antennas/ Sorry about inquiries , but will help me as well as others who are not well informed but learning about ins/outs switch from am/fm to 2.4 arena. THANKS!

              hey Wannabe;

I have used the radios with other radios (Futaba, JR, Air Tronics, FlySky) being operated on 2.4 and FM as well.

              Nice and Solid.

You can put the Tactic receiver anywhere you want as there is no antenna! That's what I love about that radio! I wish the other manufacturers would pick up on that feature!

                      FRED! FRED! FRED!

You sent me a PM and I tried to answer you but you have your forum settings to NOT RECEIVE PRIVATE MESSAGES! If you expect answers, you need to change the setting! Kinda frustrating writing a long response answering your questions and then it can't be sent!

Not sure how somebody else answered you. I tried to reply again and you still have your settings that you don't want to receive messages. Here is my answer to your question. NO BOTHER! Glad to help!

No bother! I'm happy to help. Just couldn't figure out why you would send a PM asking a question when you had your settings that you couldn't receive replies?

Here was my answer to your first PM:

                        Hi Fred,

Your question is a good one! At this time, the transmitter is only two channels so the third on the receiver is useless. I have expected Tactic to come out with a more advanced transmitter for some time now but they still haven't. They are missing a real opportunity! For electrics, there really isn't any valid reason for a third channel anyway. In nitro or gas powered boats, a third channel can be used to adjust the needle valve on the fly and in scale boats it could turn lights on and off or play music or lift a net boom on a shrimp boat for example. But for racing, all we really need is steering and throttle.

No problem. Feel free to ask anytime. I'm certainly not any sort of genius but happy to help where I can. Electrics can be confusing regarding the correct motor/esc/battery/prop combinations. Most of it comes from experience so don't be afraid to ask those of us who have been around it for a while. Gosh knows I went through my share of speed controllers in the beginning by overpropping, etc!

                        Take Care,
                        Jim

I use battery channel- servo channel- esc or throttle channel, so what is channel 3 for; booklet doesn't mention. Picture in booklet doesn't show 3 channel rx but it must be old booklet. Enlighten me on this. When you get time and thanks for your patience/time!

Does anybody tryed to power this transmitter with a 3S LiPo?
                          Does it likes 12,6V?

I was thinking of doing that as well, but I haven't yet.
You could always just charge your 3S lipo to 12 volts max and run it that way to be safe. That is how I ran my JR XS3 on a 3s transmitter lipo and it worked fine.

Sorry, but what brand is a FS-GT3B? How many dry cells or voltage of NiMH does it take?
