FE boaters tend to be a very friendly and helpful bunch. I quite model boating in the 80's because the nitro/gas guys were rude and not helpful. I'm loving FE!Mini Cat Racing USA

One thing one has to ask eventually is....just how inexpensive do I really want things to get....eventually quality will suffer (usually at the worst time)Grand River Marine Modellers

I imported some of the Chinese 2.4's. They were terrible. Get the Tactic! I have 15 receivers and 3 transmitters. Never had a glitch! And....there is no external antenna for the receiver! THAT is worth it all. (can't use in a carbon fiber boat though)Mini Cat Racing USA

The Airtronics is pretty good. The receiver has a short antenna and with 8-AA's it has a range of 1000 feet. It's only a little more that the Tactic but the quality is quite a bit higher.
This is the Airtronics MX-Sport 2.4GHz FHSS-2 Computer Radio. The MX-Sport is the ultimate sport 2.4GHz car/boat radio, and is possibly the best value... AIR90214

You'll probably see more Futaba's at the races than any other brand. And there is a reason why.
