    Hey Vid,

What timing do you set your esc at? Did you change out the steering rod to a 4-40?

    Thanks,
    Rob

i run at 7* timing and my stearing rodd is about the same thickness as a 4-40. only difference is that mine is metric.

Thanks Vid! I am working on my Genesis now. Gathering parts still. So far 2000kv leopard, 180 seaking, traxxas 2075 servo, upgraded steering rod, and bought 2 5000mah 40C 4s lipos. Have a X640 prop to start with too. Ponds are frozen now so I have to wait.. no fun.

you need a 4-40 steering rodd. i changed my driveline to .150 flex and just drilled out the original strutt to fit a 3/16 shaft. you wil need a cooling jacket for the motor. my connectors are original on the batteries and the rest is castle`s 5.5mm i beleve.

i found that a prather 220 works better then the X642 for me. but im waiting for a M642 from eggneg that i wil test when the water gets liquid again.
the servo in mine is a EXI D226F.
it probaly goes without saying. but the prop needs to be PROPPARLY balanced and sharpend. so when you order your prop. go for the B\S ones. it wil give you ALOT better speed and way less frustration then if you try to run with a "raw" prop.

thanks mr 200 the prop i bought is from here and it is b/s. (balanced and sharpened lol)

The servo i bought is a turnigy digital servo 620dmg+hs high torque 10.6kg/.13s/52g is this adequate or should i buy a analogue one
My batts have 4mm bullett connectors the esc is a turnigy marine 180a dont know what connectors it has yet should i just buy 10 pairs of 6mm connectors and make all connections same.
I Ialso need to make a harness to run parrallel batts would this all be better in 6mm

never tryed that servo but im shure you wil be just fine as long as you get the steering rodd swapped for one that dont bend the seccond it notise that you actually gona make the rudder turn.
bigger is normaly better. i havent botherd all that much with changing things sinse nothing in my setup is getting warm.

Anyone ever use the Traxxas 2075 servo? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

do you need a different mount to fit the leopard 4074 with the ose xl water jacket 40x57mm or just standard genesis mount with a wedge under the back and a cable tie

im using the mount that came with the boat. and no ring. using some zip ties instead right behind the cooling jacket and some flotatation under it to keep it in place at all times. cant remeber who had the idea but it works like a charm :)
