      Leopard motor color?

I noticed the motors come in different colors, does it matter whether its a black can or red can?

Not that I noticed. Users choice I take it. I have a black can 4074 1774kv and a red can 4074 2200kv. Both perform AMAZING, but the black can looks WICKED JMO

Diesel, nice setup you got there!

I will be setting up a Pursuit and 2 Genesis cats so just trying to absorb as much as I can. Thanks.

Awesome! The Pursuit will be for my pop but I know the handling of these hulls are amazing! I've got the 25 Prince with a leopard 2860 and it hauls.

Thinking of grabbing the 2200kv on 4s for all three. Would I have to run 2 x 4s in parallel? or could I run 2 x 2s?

On my 2200kv pursuit I run 2 4s 3600 30c's in parallel. And on the 1774kv cat i run 2 2s 5000 40c's in series. Both setup's run crazy cool. Motor in either boat has broken 100F yet. That 2200 can pull some serious amps 4s2p would be better.

Ok, looks like I got some batteries to purchase too.

Getting this thread back on track, it looks like there are many setups, just depends how fast you want to go. High 40s on the 4074 2200kv on 4s, Low 50s with 4074 1400kv on 6s. High 50s with the 4082 1500kv on 6s.

Just need some prop tips now.

you wont have any problems pushing the genesis to low to mid 50`s with a 4074 2000 kv on a X642 and 4S

That's what I like to hear Vid. I think that's the setup I will go with. Maybe one 2000kv and one 2200.

Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas to everyone.

What about 5S batteries with the 2000kv motor?
According to the HC website these 5S packs are only 34MM wide!

                            I wouldn't run 5s on a single 2000kv motor, I'd run 4s2p in a genesis. That's just me.

actually i think now I was reading the battery sizes wrong, I know that the 4000mah 4S batteries I have now just fit sideways in the hull, so anything bigger wouldnt fit

Is 5S not used by many people? or is the reason people dont use 5S is because theyr run 2 3S packs in series?
