That is an old DPI tunnle hull, it is a 3.5cc in the pic but i might try to make it brushless. I do not think they make that specific one anymore and i have ran it once in the last 2 years but it is my best looking boat at the time! haha thanks for asking!

There are some nice tunnel hulls on tower hobbies.

              did some modding today....

              you'll need:

              .187 teflon liner http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...=oct-oc187t-24
              5/16" brass tubing

insert .187 teflon liner thru the flex cable as shown above. using grease will help!
bend the brass tubing like shown above. measure twice cut once!
use silicone to seal up the brass tube against hull and solder brass tube to the strut holder.
the teflon liner and flex tube will spin together inside the brass tubing so grease it up.
did a few test runs and mod works flawless..no grease coming up!

nope! thats what electric did tho....

the flex cable goes inside the .187 teflon liner. then both will go inside the brass tube they will both spin around the 5/16" brass tubing.

Try the Stilleto which is a new boat coming out RTR this month. It was designed by Daren J. and should be a great boat. You can find it at horizonhobby.com. I think Steve may also be selling the boat here as well.

Nice job with the brass tubing upgrade. Yeah, I just was seeing if I could do it really "cheap" with the teflon inside of teflon solution(I also happened to have the inside teflon piece sitting in my work shop). The brass tubing is the "correct" set up for sure. They both work, just looks better with the brass.

Anyone seen the 'Super' surge crusher?

Looks like an appropriately sized motor!!!!!

Same hull and hardware except for the addition of trim tabs... in a weird place, too. It might have a bigger cable? The stuffing tube looks bigger in the pics.

Trim tabs on a cat are useless. Silly addition. Just some more bling to excite the uninitiated.

The motor and esc make it worth the price though. That motor should be able to move the cat quite nicely while drawing under 90 amps.

thanks! im going to swap out the liner tho. instead of the cable n liner spinning together inside the brass tubing, im going to use a liner that fits tight inside the brass tube and have the cable spin around the liner. i think it will be less drag.
