Some times the cheap ESC can be used for light duty. Case in point I have the new Whiplash with a Pro Boat 1500Kv and a 52MM aluminum Prop. I added the 10 Capisitor capbank I build to the setup and have been running flawlessly. Now I would not trust this to a real full Psetup or a hot P LTD setup. I am running the CoolRC 90Amp ESC the low prifile made it work in my boat. Later in the year I will replace with a MGM when I can afford it.

Used the silicon conformal coating to water proof the board, see how it goes, i have used the XLX in a Slash 4x4 speed rig and went up to 378 amps
and i love the data loging it is very easy to use

Yeah they came out great. My buddy machined some plates for our Egde 200's and it made a huge difference in esc temp.

Does your buddy have a CNC machine he can scan those plates and crank out some more?

I have never run a cap pack and so far I haven't needed them. I always check my ripple current and it's always been pretty low.

My buddy did these on a small machine and we are looking to do a small run but I doubt he will sell them.

Thanks ,if a 40mm fan can cool this the water cooling will definitely make it a ice machine

That will work no problem and make it more compact as well, i have ample room in my 138 so i just milled the fins out and set the cooling blocks in ..
                      Looking sweet
