She looks great! Your Cam is just fine. Whoever was filming did a good job! Better than most at following the boat.

      Tested the p220 and x642.

Both were similar, speed 58km/h (x642) and temps...-cold. p220 gps was 91km/h, must be an error......

Only motor was warm(55) and esc/batts cold. After 4 minutes with the x642 the esc was 40 deg.celcius.

I dont understand, this should not be this cool running using this much prop?

guess I´ll try the p225 next.

New vid on videos page. (and here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rgPsisGJjQ )

I forgot to mention that I made the rudder slop free(2 washers worth of slop) , there was a lot of wobble there, but now it handles so gooddddddd

This really needs a turningy 120 or 180/8XL/P230 set up soon.

The boat definitely looks faster with the Prather prop. Hard to tell. I think you're definitely getting more than 60 kph out of it. Good job. It rides really nice. Corners well. Hard to believe that's a SV27 setup in there! I too am amazed at the low temps. I can't imagine running more than an x642 on that motor but who knows!? Let us know how the prather 225 goes. That's a LOT of prop!~
          GREAT JOB!

Patrik, well done I am amazed at the props you are running and your temperatures. Larger props or more aggressive pitch do not always result in higher speed!
This is the hard part the pros, not me, tweak their props by cupping, cutting etc. to obtain the best performance of motor and prop

Yes that is true, when the prop is too big/pitchy the motor cant give all the rpms.

But too small prop and it over revs(the x440 made it scream!)

The p220 looks like the best so far, will try short test with x645 and p225 soon. The p220 is fast(ish) but the temps are really low

The x440 is still great for long run times and can be driven the whole 5000mAh packs at once.

I was excepting more from the x637, it should have been a bit faster then x440 but it wasn´t.

I belive that the ESC likes deanodiced plates and castle bec. -it was way hotter on my sv with same props! (but sv was w/o the cc bec and cooling plates were stock then)

Those are really big props.. X645...P225.
I would not do it but it is your ESC and motor

Patrik, you might want to try a cupped X442, prior to those other props or what do other members suggest for speed on his SV27 setup?
I think Patrik has reached the limits of his setup, but who knows with a great modified prop

Looks good on the P220 - nice job! I think it's running great, but if you wanted to try something else, an M445 would be an option. I've had more luck with it than an X642 on my monos.

I am thinking of the himodel 200A and a new motor, 7 or 8xl.

What would be the recomenned prop for these motors in 29" mono?

Why the 8xl is so popular and 7xl is not? -there is one sv on tube that has 6s and 7xl on 120A hydra.

so 7xl with 200A esc should be fine?

I would like to keep this 4s

The .150 cable(3/16 prop shaft) will be ok to use with these too?

I need more speed! -must go over 60mph

let me tell you this, on my 29" copy I have the 8XL, not trying to establish record but just fast fun runs, I use 40.5mm to 43.5mm carbon prop, the best IMO being the 42mm, 40.5mm prop tend to really cavitate with poor acceleration 43.5 really fast, if you go for a 7XL it'll be a amp hog with a descent prop, and because of its higher KV you'll have to use a smaller prop than you have today, you'll then loose efficiency at the prop because it'll too small compared to the hull size, if you don't mind pulling high amp go for the 7XL but you battery will have to be strong enough. I would rather go for a 9XL but the 8XL is just fine.

I agree with Emmanuel, The 7XL may be too hot a motor. A 9XL would be a good choice with the right prop. The KV for the 9XL is a little higher than the SV27 motor and may get you better speeds with the right prop selection.

I guess that the 8xl would then be the best if I want much more speed.

Sadly the etti cooling plate is out of stock, so the himodel stock cooling fins with some brass tube should be fine? -any idea what size tube would be best for this?

Any idea is the ose xl cooling jacket much better then the short version I allready have on sv can?

An 8xl with 4s(30/40C) ,200A esc and 215/220 prop should be fine?

I would get the XL jacket. The short one will work, but I tend to leave them on a motor once installed. The 215 should be fine.

The 8XL, himodel 4/8, etti cooling plate ,xl cooling jacket(silver),waterproofing epoxy ,thermal paste,p215,30/40C lipos are on their way here.(my budget build did not stay on budget)

                                must go near 60mph soon
