I was just kidding by a tour, you know what bands do, go from city to city. You could come out here and run your boat with us, would be wicked to see it in real. But video would be the next best.

Ahhh, yes. I would have to swing by Alberta first (after Washington park) - to show off my killer motor mounts, then Jefferson City Missouri to strut my drive lines, then Jupiter Florida (to race the rest of the fleet and bring home all the trophies), then to Georgia to race the DF33 twins, then to VA - hope I don't get banned from there...
Just to begin... where next?"Look good doin' it"

Ah...our big city of 40,000! I will work out a private viewing in our Capital Rotunda. Only the best of the best get in there! The children will be throwing rhinestones and rose peddles as you enter.
Oh...and we now have a new Walmart! 2nd one. Did you know the FIRST walmart super center was built here before any other in the country.... what a town!Attached FilesComment

Well, no pics yet cause I am waiting on the motor mounts - any day now - and the drives - any day now. I have the stuffing tubes ready and my liner (9/32" K&S stuffing with 1/4" OD, 1/8" ID teflon) ready. Don't want to do any gluing until I have the mounts and can play with exact positioning. Was thinking of 8-10" forward of transom, but since I saw this guy with his motors slammed up against the transom, I am thinking of seeing what the balance would be if I had mine a little farther back. I have no further updates on the appearance of it yet, waiting on paint job; don't want to get her all prettied up and then get blood on her miniskirt.
I should have some updates by this weekend; I am definitely anxious to get her wet!"Look good doin' it"

OLE' the Wohlt delivery is complete. I will post pics soon, need to spray paint my stuffing tubes chrome - don't want no stinking brass inside this beauty. Great work Jeff, man I have to post pics of the hardware, you did killer work - wire drives and custom struts nice and polished (bet you even gave each one a smooch - don't tell bustit he might get grossed out). I got my charger and adapter and found out my 6S packs are charged and ready. The only things left to arrive are my custom motor mounts (maybe today with UPS) and my counter rotating props by the balancing and sharpening genius Egneg!
Then my assassin will be completely turned to the dark side of the force.
As for teflon, Jeff did have some valid points, much smoother ride oiled wire on slick tephlon, quieter ride - no metal on metal, and since there is no external expression of these monster 1/4" tubes, why not?
Where is bustit anyway?"Look good doin' it"

YAY, I got my motor mounts, great work Peter, they are really nice. However, as with any custom job there is usually continued designing until the final step. Looks like I supplied the angle between tunnel and sponson vert slightly off, and I didn't plan for the thick bar between the mounts. I have a plan though. The main thing is to keep the motors firm, right? So they will.
I am now thinking of using one of the 1/8" bars along the base of the mount and make my traditional ply plate along the sponson bottom with bolts sticking up that I can then use locking nuts to secure the mount to the hull. I know, pictures, well I will get them up when I have finalized the plan. I need to drill into the base of the mount and then thread... wish I had my vise and drill press......
I am thinking I may not have room for the jackets... don't know how necessary they are after all. Will do my best to use them.
Got a little paint on her too. same scheme as last photos, but black instead of dark blue. Will get photos up soon. Still doin a lot of head scratchin, but am sticking with original position of motors - way the flip forward (10" from front of can to transom). Even so, batts have to be pretty far forward to be able to have 33% COG, if I need it."Look good doin' it"
