Ah, some white. It needed the color of the lettering, I think. More tedious work for a small gain. It's the JAE 33FE from now on I suppose.

I love the asymmetry of the web address on one sponson...

Stealth cowling. [emoji106] I can't believe Zippkits is not making one for this rigger...

Riggers ain’t scale.. I’m a cockpit freak, but riggers don’t count as “boats”. They more like airplanes converted to water craft.
Nice looking rig, glad to see a windshield!! Some have accused me of sneaking around adding windshields to other peoples boats when they weren’t looking.. just accused.

Same for unlimited hydros, as far as "flying on water" goes. Are they really boats? I have heard there are no full size riggers because they can't make the sponson rods strong enough. The closest thing are the Lucas Oil drag boats...

                  Hi Sammyha.
I've been looking through this build on & off.
Nice crisp, clean, work. Love the paint colours too.

Here's a couple of full size rigger designs.
One is a concept but the other one has been built, although I don't know if it has even run yet. Looks like they've gone bankrupt. http://www.quicksilver-wsr.com/the-craft/

Thank you for the compliments. It's nice when others appreciate the effort put into these builds. It usually comes from fellow builders like yourself.

I read on a thread here somewhere that there were no true 1/1 riggers ever made with the small size boom tubes we use on rc riggers. That is the real advantage, the small frontal area. There's full size ones that look like riggers and I guess they are riggers. But they're not realizing that crazy low frontal area advantage.

So I'm just repeating what I read. You guys are coming up with some cool examples btw...

Sponsons are mounted with the collars on the rods and sponson tubes drilled with screws in them.

The business end is completely hooked up, the rudder pushrod is setup and the servo is in with a floor servo mount...

The flex cable is cut to length, the stuffing tube is locktighted in and the coupling tightened with a prop saver installed.

The mechanical build is done. I have to hook up the esc and bind the receiver and program my radio. Getting closer to a maiden...

You blokes in the northern hemisphere are always looking at things upside down, back to front, and inside out compared to us down here in the lower latitudes.
But well spotted. It gave me a good laugh at the end of a long day at work. Thanks.
