thought mine was a mess. like i said all is comming out . what should i use to get that glue or what ever they used to hold that tray and motor mount down with off? want a nice clean start. does home depot or target sell cf cloth or something i could use for reinforcement ? what type of epoxy should i use to lay that down with?

Why take the tray out. It sems to be the perfect angle and if you pick up a mount from the RivRat mounting a motor will be as simple as 4 screws. I love the foam, a sharp knife to shave off the excess but otherwise its good floatation just in case. I see a few little things to cleaan up like the bond or what ever it is near the shaft, otherwise for the money.... cant go wrong. Always wanted one just never got a great deal till now.

I have received two MM and all my parts, now the fun begins.
Not sure if I should strip out the old mtr. mt. and radio box or use them?
What has been you guys luck to demo out the old? I bought CF which is the dirrection I planned to go, just not sure how bonded the old parts are to the hull?

Ben, if you were born in Tasmania , Paddy might help you out, Andy forget it. Seriously, I think they have been sold out or they do not wish to ship to outside the US.

I know a lot of people are doing one. I tore into mine tonight. I really wanted to leave the tray and motor mount but the more I got into it and looked at others pictures, I decided to tear it out. Just for some info, the motor mount unit, the radio tray with cover and plug etc all weighed 11.7 oz. I am kinda glad I took it out. . The motor mount will know be made of wood. Not sure if I will put a differnt box in to hold the electronics or not. I probly will because it dont look like it would be easy to keep it dry incase of a flip unless a box is added. I shortened the shaft a little... its getting there.

Looks like a drunk 2 year old glued the stuffing tube in . Scrape all that junk off, tape the bottom and attach with thickened resin from the inside.

Like the aluminium hatch hold-downs. Are they Aeromarine??

Good luck with the build. They resond well to FE.

                                Sewer,

In response to the epoxy question. Consider West System 2 part.
