Sure am glad I paid full price earlier this summer. This make mine worth much less. I might have to pick up an extra hull though.

I have setup a 31" H&M Intruder S Cat with a BJ26 setup for use in our LSO class and I expect it to do well... The MM should be similiar...
I don't really have any CAT experience to speak of, mind you, so I'm kind of just going off of my experience with the motor package (extensive at this point) and what I've seen and read about how these hulls work...
I run a BJ26 or SV27 setup in my 36" 1/10th Scale hydro and it has not problems with it... turning a 45-47mm prop...
Go for it! Sounds like a VERY affordable setup at this point!Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Made some time today for an easy motor mount for the newbies. Everything fits fine if using a sv motor and ose water jacket. There is plenty of room left if one would want to use a 540 xl motor. The problem is the size of the water jacket. If using a water jacket larger then the one in the pic then the motor must be slid towards the front which would not allow for enough engament on the collet pictured. Then one would have to use an extend coupler or make a longer flex shaft. The big plus with this mount is you can go back and forth between gas and electric by only removing the four mount screws. I think it would make it more attractive on the resale end. Will make the unit lighter and add cooling before I run it or make the drawings.Comment

Hi,
I could not resist the low price of the MM and I also bought one without the hardware. I read the various topics in the forum for this hull and I have available to fit a Neu 1512/2D (2600 KV) on 4s. What prop shall I use for good speed?
Also regarding the shaft, the tube must have have a single bent (not "S" shape), parallel to the bottom and about 1/4 to 3/16" raised over the botttom. And COG about 33-34% from the sponsons transom. Is that correct?Twin Cat 135, Sprintcat40 (single-twin), DF 35", Maritimo, Mean Machine, SV 27

580-8L in a MM
Should receive my water logged MM from AM today. I was set to buy another Feigao 540XL-9 but saw the info. on the new 580-8L. What are the FE Guru's thoughts on this combination?Jacksonville FloridaComment

Got my MM --- this is my second one. I bought one from Steven 1 1/2 years ago and the one I just got is much lighter than the earlier one!
This one has no reinforcement on the tunnel .... the 1st one had either carbon fiber or extra mats of fiber glass applied!
As far as the hull is concerned it will be great once done. But I have to tell you if I bought this as a RTR gas hull I would be definitely pissed off! The graphics appear to be done well, but when you open it up Good Golly Miss Molly! The mount for the motor and fuel tank is well done but when assembled bondo/adhesive was smeared all over with no attempt made to wipe up the excess! The same for the drive shaft just a glob of bondo no smoothed out on the underside!
If Remy has QC guy he should talk with him ... if not hire one! I would not like my company name on this product! We did it with a Bang!

got my hull today its in perfect condition, hardware looks great too, the drive shaft underneath was bonded kinda slopy but no biggie , cant wait to start the build. have one question there is something attached to the inside of the left front part of the hull what is that thing anyone know . big thanks to aeromarine got the hull in 2days and for the money cant beat itComment

Whats it look like I got the bare hull don't recall seeing anything on mine. When looking at these hulls --- I noticed that they centered everything where as I read to offset the drivetrain to counter prop torque! Maybe its for weight? We did it with a Bang!

Sewr you have a pic? I think I see the holes where mine was just curious.
I ordered a few little things from Aero to make the build easyer. The servo tray and a few other little things.
Gonna try a SV system with 14 cells, will try a good radio/reciever first if it acts up then I will go with the battery pack instead of the direct BECLast edited by ice329; 11-21-2008, 12:16 PM.Comment
