    Darin's DYMotorshop 33.5" P-Mono Build

Finally getting around to building/assembling my new P-Mono.

Hull is from DYMotorshop (EBAY Store). This is the Carbon/Kevlar version. Very nice work. Rigid, light, and solid, with no pin-holes.

Pretty basic stuff at this point. Installed a carbon fiber doubler in the transom, and decided to go with a Speedmaster Stinger, rudder, and trim-tabs. Turn fins will be my IM31 design from OSE. Should have the fins, motor mount, and .187" x 3/16" propshaft here today or tomorrow (From OSE, of course!).

I concur with the quality of the hull Darin.
I bought one last year & was up to about the same stage as you are now. But it's been lying idle for a long time while I've been building other boats.
Except mine was the black version.
You may have inspired me to get back onto it. Thanks.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Good looking hull. I have a quick question, I ordered the same stinger for a df 29 mono and am unsure how to measure exactly where to drill for the stuffing tube, any suggestions? About how far into the stinger does the stuffing tube actually go? Ive never used one so sorry for any dumb questions Lol

Darin I looked up dymotorshop on eBay and they have a couple cool little hulls. There's a 17" carbon mono and a really sweet looking 29.5" carbon mono that I've gotta have. Just gotta find some $$$ lol

This is the one you were messaging me about last night?

I'm trying to like it Darin. I'm not big on it's lines. Looks like a nice layup though. They have a 29 that might make a nice limited offshore. Tall though.

Edit....never mind. Strakes to the trans on the 29. Fly like a kite.

I am scrambling to get a few real race boats available for the Nats... and... I like to have more than one going on at a time... then, while one is setting-up/drying/waiting for parts, I can work on the other. :)

That's what I thought but did you see the bottom? Ton of strake. All the way to it's beehind. We'll never get that to settle into the water. That's why I was saying maybe a limited setup.

Like I can build another boat right now. I have 2 on the bench. 2 I haven't drilled a hole in yet and 2 I'm going to do this winter that I don't even own yet. Stop it Davis!

Not always. My Titan 40 has them but they are turned up above the transom so have no effect when running straight. Yet my Titan 29 chine walked badly without them. It will be interesting to see what Darin finds out.
