If worse comes to worse, you can run an older version ( v2) seaking 180. It will need to be modified to run it safely. I remove all wires and upgrade to 8ga, disable the bec and run an external, replace the caps with higher voltage ones and add 5 more to it. Then you can run it on 6s and 7s. I do not recommend tooling around the lake on 7s however. That needs to be reserved for speed runs. 6s make still be a little too fast to cruise around but it will do it. You could run it on 5s (3s pack on left, 2s pack on right...must be matching mah and c rating) and be easier to cruise around.

ya i was thinking of just trying to find another swordfish 240 or something of the sort. I would rather put the extra $$$ right now and get it and have alot of wiggle room than end up getting the 180esc and then end up getting the swordfish 240 later down the road.

but then you have an awesome t180 to use in another project!

and from what i was told and have read, the genesis/daytona doesnt seem to do well over a 45mm prop. looking forward to seeing another one done!

Wouldnt the 200a 6s-8s be a beetter esc? Ive heard alot of good things about the seaking 180 though.

M645 would be a better choice. They usually pull less amps and had more top end.

Ok guys so i have hit a road block in my build right now!! So i am trying to put in a cf plate and it seems that the shape in the interior is different than the exterior shape. In the pic above the template on the right is the interior template and the one on the right is the exterior one. Is something wrong or am i just making the template wrong?

On both my builds I thought I could do a plate in the transom but ended up just flooding the transom drilling my holes used longer bolts with washers and epoxied over the nuts with that thick of a mount the whole rear or the boat would have to be ripped off to cause failure
