oh, and offset is at 2" center to center..played with it out farther, but didn't like it..as I said, just a small tweak to tunnel and test..then will go back for final mold..boat is very close to exactly what I want

Where is the leading edge of your rudder in relation to the prop, and what is the offset from the shaft center?

I have a 29" Mean Machine that is built for twins with 3 1/4" stingers.
It has a tunnel wider then most.(5 3/4")
I put a longer (farther back) rudder on it, but I think it needs to farther back some more.
Right now the leading edge is at the front of the prop, I would like to move it back an other 3/4" to the rear of the prop.

Larry's MM is crazy fast but a bugger to finish with by all accounts. Going straight it's like a SAW boat. I'm guessing he's trying to finish with the danged thing. haha

Yes it is. Now add about 20 mph to what you've seen. That's where Larry's at.

Steering and handling at Speed --- The longer rudder standoff has helped a lot, I will extend it an other 3/4" to put the leading edge at the rear of the props.
My other choice is shorten the stingers a bit.
I want to run this in "P" Offshore (NAMBA)

Right now I have a pair of 3674 - 1700Kv in it for Offshore
I am getting 4:30 to 5:00 min. of run time on 10,000mA

                    I have a pair of 3674 - 2200Kv to run in "P" Cat

Terry- That was my Offshore setup.

                        MY MM cat

                        Since these pictures were taken.
The sponsons have been blueprinted, and I reversed the props ,(they now turn outward instead of inward.)
These two things helped a lot, the boat is now drivable at speed.
I am going to extend the rudder mount an other 3/4" just to make it even better,
especially when I put the 2200Kv motors in it.

The ESC's and motors are wired in such a way that they both see 4S2P instead of 4S1P per motor.

                            Very efficient setup;
                            A pair of 90mm EDF -Jet motors ; Tacon - LBP 3674 - 2Y - 1700Kv and a pair of 442 props
                            And GOOD batteries
Packs are down to about 20% after an Offshore run = about 60 to 65 AMP's average per motor.

Now with the 3674 - 2200Kv motors and bigger props is a hole different story! I have only got to run for under 2 min. ("P" Cat, 1 mile race - 6 laps on the 1/6 coarse)

                            Larry
