I still have a lot of stuff on order.
    SF 300 HV
    Lehner motor
    Speedmaster hardware
I'll be doing my own custom CF rails and motor/ESC mount.
    Flood tube
    Hitec servo
    8mm bullets
    MBP 8mm Collet
    Screw down hatch
This will be running on 8s with Revo's.

I borrowed the idea from Rocstar. It does make it a little more ridgid without having to CF the whole deck. I did the same thing in my Revolt and I never had any pressure cracking or anything for that matter and I crashed that thing hard several times recently. Also it is very inexpensive and easy to do. I think I paid $15 for a yard or two and that will last me probably forever.

Here you can see how the hatch isn't below the hull so this wouldn't make for a very good seal. Don't mind the black marker, those are just areas I'll be paying closer attention to when I'm wet sanding/prepping for paint.

Tks Jeff, I got a couple of CF hull builds I'm doing and can see the need of using some of the coremat in them...I been thinking about trying a lehner in one of my saw setups. What size are you going with ? DJ

Well I had the day off of work and was able to get started on some blueprinting. The hull wasn't terrible just a large but shallow hook on either side. The lowest spot was 3/32" but the rest was around 1/16" deep. The pics kind of make it look worse the way the light reflects underneath the gap. I also trued the transom.

Basically I just used a piece of scrap cherry that I squared up on my jointer. Used some double sided pattern tape to adhere a piece of 60 grit on the block. Then I just sanded the bottom of the hull going on an angle to the transom and using very light pressure. I didn't want to have the bottom dip and move while I was removing material.

Next step is I'll rough up the rest of bottom with some 80 grit, wipe it down with a painting degreaser. Then start putting on the marine RX putty.

After sanding you can see still where the 2 hooks are.

The strut and MBP Collet just showed up this evening.

Now that I have the strut I can take a measurement to see what rudder offset I need.

Well it's been tough to stay motivated while it's cold out. I've got just about all the parts for this build and the LMT motor should be arriving in the next few days. Here are some updates and photos. I filled in the dip towards the rear, because I thought it wouldn't make for a good hatch seal. I'm just waiting for the Marine RX to dry then I'll sand it flush. I blue printed the bottom. And made the transom dead flat. The reason for the grey and white epoxy is I would alternate colors by adding graphite to the mix so I could tell the difference in layers. It took several layers to get it to where I wanted it to be and that is dead flat. I ordered some CF stuff from dragon plate that should be here next week then I can get this hull to paint then start building the interior. I hate body work. I laid 2 layers of CF and a strip of Coremat in the hatch and also put Coremat in the corners so that when I do the hatch bolts there is some meat there. It's pretty darn stiff now.

I also had a custom motor mount made and had Speedmaster make me some custom brackets for my strut that turned out awesome, I couldn't be happier with there service and willingness to help.

Sometimes you have to just take a break. I can't wait to see it run tho! And I can't wait to get started on a big mono project myself. Right now I've just got too much going on.
